Hey, I'm new here. Can I interest you folks in a tale? What, you don't know what happened the last time Kanye West played Bonnaroo? WELL PULL UP A CHAIR. I can't believe you guys don't know this, it was crazy! Well, first he was late because he was partying in Atlanta until 3:00 a.m., drinking sizzurp. Then he forced a bunch of nuns off a plane full of medicine bound for the Congo, hijacked the plane and made them fly at SUPERSONIC SPEED to get to Bonnaroo. He was mad that Phil Lesh's old ass was still droning on (who cares about old white guys) so he slapped him twice in the mouth and broke his walker. Then, he came on stage at 5:00 a.m., f*cked a robot right in front of everyone, then pulled an R.Kelly all over the front row of the audience. I swear to God, this is what happened. Finally, he broke his contract with Bonnaroo and totally counter sued because they refused to pay him, so now they're broke which is why they can't afford any good bands anymore and why the fountain is brown and why the sonic forest never comes back and why they have to keep booking WSP every other year. So he's never coming back, and Phil Lesh won't even though he plays fests like Outside Lands because that makes sense for some reason.
. . . so yeah, the sooner the better on those private forums, alright?
If this happens, would there a decline of your presence in the headliner speculation thread? I mean, flanzo and horn handle these "mouth breathers" (as you call them) well enough, and it's entertaining for the most part, but you always have that finishing touch in these matters. I'd miss that. I wasn't here this time last year, so I'm just going off what I've come to understand, but days like today are basically just the tip of the iceberg, correct?
I don't even care that much about the private forums anymore, I just want them because I know it will drive EAP absolutely crazy knowing people are having discussions that she isnt able to read.
EDIT: Oh wait, that already happens via txt, facebook, twitter, PMs, face to face, etc etc etc etc

Thanks for the private group function. Now I actually share the lineup information I've received without fear of the rest of you fools blowing it for me.

There are no private threads.
The PM system upgraded so people can talk to more than one person at a time but it's not wildly different from the past. Instead of opening each individual PM to read/respond to you get it all in one spot.

I understand how they work, and I understand that people have been using them instead of the regular threads instead of posting in public. Do you agree or not agree that our post count for 6 weeks before Bonnaroo has gone way down, and do you think it is because of the number of posts going on in the private music threads that people are using?

lol
Just the kind of witty brilliant well informed reply to a serious conversation that we have grown to expect from you. Kudo's on the brilliant riposte.

I haven't noticed any kind of decline personally, but that's just me.

I haven't personally noticed the post count going down but I don't pay close attention to that stuff. The forum seems just as active as it normally has to me. I wouldn't say that a majority of posters are using them to discuss the festival instead of posting on the board but I have not been made aware of anything like that until now. Even if that's the case....does it matter? People likely discussed parts of the festival or other festivals/shows in PMs in the past.
I'm not part of any "private music threads going around" that you speak of and if there are people who want to discuss things via PM I don't have an issue with that.

I don't know does it? Also I asked just because it seems like a lot of sections do not have a lot of life compared to the previous years. All I did was ask a question in the related thread, I dont think I made any judgments other than Phi being an ass.

Not sure which sections you are specifically talking about and without knowing how the post count usually is compared to how it is now I'm not really sure what should be done. You asked a question and Dave and myself gave answers, saying that it didn't feel like there was less posting because of people PMing each other. Like I said....I don't tend to pay close attention to that stuff but I haven't noticed any less posting than usual. Perhaps it's because there are fests starting up now with people attending them (lots of inforoosters went to Coachella recently).
