Hello Friends! I didnt want this question buried at the bottom of The Beer Thread.
Does anyone belong to, or has participated in any Beer Of The Month Clubs? I have been wanting to try this for months, but its a little pricey, and want to make sure its worth it before i do.
What i want out of doing one of these things is to try micro brew beer that i have never seen before . . . . beer thats not distributed in my area. Doing one of these clubs is cheaper than trying the same number of beers out at a bar, but more expensive than buying it at a local store, so i can justify the cost in my head.
Any feed back would be great. Happy New Year!
PS. Has anyone tried any other 'Of The Month' clubs?

My Uncle got a subscription as a Christmas present last year and shared a bunch of the beers with me, mostly because he prefers Coors Light over anything. I don't know how he does. But, it's overall pretty good. For the club he's part of, I think they get 12 beers a month of about 3 or 4 varieties. All various microbrews, all pretty unique. You'll get a lot of different and original ideas. The only real downside is you'll never know what you're getting, so if there's something you know you won't like, you'll be stuck with it regardless. Overall, i think it's a good idea if you're into trying new and different beers.

Well i dont know what i would get in a month, and thats what i was trying to get, other peoples experience, if any. Like HeavierThings said, you would get 12 a month, but your paying like 3-4 dollars a beer, which is more expensive than buying microbrews at the store, but less expensive that drink that many at a bar.
