Bummer. Part of the appeal for this fest last year was being in Atlantic City. Damn, oh well. I wonder why they changed locations- who wanted it moved- Metallica or AtlCity?

Possibly. I read that Metallica was thinking of other locations but would like to keep it in AtlCity, if the city officials would renew the license to be there. I also read that the city thought the festival a success and it brought in more revenue than the Phish weekend did.
But, yeah, I can see how the city has decided that next year wouldn't be the best timing but I would also think they may need the little economic boom it would bring as well.

So Fire Fly, Governor's Ball, Orion, and Mountain Jam all on the same weekend? Should be some crazy over laps between those 4 or it will just spread out the talent pool a bit.

They could have absolutely kept the fest in Atlantic City.. Bader Field where they did Orion and Phish is actually being used next week for Steve Aoki's New Years Eve Day Glow.

It's going to be on a huge island park, Belle Isle. It probably is one of the coolest venues for a festival Detroit has to offer. It's also f*cking monstrous. Here's the Wikipedia page if you're interested: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_Isle_Park

BELLE ISLE IS INFINITELY NICER THAN ANYTHINGIN ATLANTIC CITY
Lineup announcement in the AM. This is gonna be deadly. 30th bday celebration in picturesque Detroit. Then flying to NSH for 1st ever 'Roo.
I'm also curious as to how they'll change things up this year. Last year they had the shtick of playing two albums in full. What do they do this year? Plus, the undercard was super varied last year. It'll be interesting to see who they get. Matt & Kim have an announcement at 10 EST tomorrow. From Orion to Bonnaroo? I'd be down.

And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
