Hey guys, I need your help! I am doing a Christmas radio special for my station in the coming weeks and need to ask, what are some good Christmas songs by popular artists, or good Christmas songs by artists you listen to? I have about a week to get this together, so any input would be great!

I agree with folks that classics are the best. Every year at our Christmas Open House we start with the classics. Inevitably, though, people will ask me to spice it up with some new or different stuff. Here are some of the more well received ones I played last year:
- Anything from MMJ Does Xmas Fiasco Style or the MMJ iTunes Xmas Session - Holy S**t it's Christmas - Deer Tick - Please Daddy Don't Get Drunk This Christmas - Decemberists - The Little Drum Machine Boy - Beck - Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC - Children Go - Super Desserts - We Three Kings & O Come, O Come Emmanuel - Sufjan Stevens - Tiny Tree Christmas & Donde Esta Santa Claus - Guster - Christmas in the City - Mary J. Blige
And the instant classic - Electronic Santa by Blazer Force. It's not a Christmas party until you have 45 adults and kids all doing the robot dance to a Christmas song.
Oh and I'm still a sucker for God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings by Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan.

You're a better man than I, Tom. If some cretin dared open their yap at a Christmas open house which I was hosting to request some variety in the music being played, they'd catch a facefull of hot mulled cider en route to being tossed ass-first into the snowbanks.
I would actually pay a lot of money to attend a Juggernaut Christmas Open House.

Christmas is actually my favorite holiday, hands down. I tend to celebrate it over the course of the whole month - tree trimming party, some sort of holiday open house, many parties on Christmas Eve, celebrating all Christmas Day...during the month of December I am at my merriest.
And yes, at my Christmas open houses I tend to request some sort of semi-formal attire (I don't care if it's a tie and sportcoat with jeans, but people need to come correct), play jazz and Christmas standards, serve incredible amounts of food, and prepare some sort of signature cocktail.
I bet Tom's party is better. Juggs seems like the kind of host where everyone goes and acts like they're having a good time cause they're afraid of getting brutally murdered in their sleep.

My absolute favorite is Ray Charles' That Spirit of Christmas. I think I tear up every time I listen to it and I'm not a big fan of the holidays. I second whoreshack's and horn's picks too.
The best Christmas song of all time is The Christmas Song. The best version ever is the one sung by Frank Sinatra, where just as the music is wrapping up at the end of the tune, Frank gives a little "Merry Christmas!" This is not up for discussion, if you listen to that song and don't immediately picture sitting in a big chair by a fire with a huge Christmas tree covered in lights and a glass of eggnog or brandy or scotch,
This was such a sweet sentiment - even making me feel all warm and cozy and looking forward to Christmas.
with f*cking snow on the windows and cookies by the tree and motherf*cking stockings and tinsel and all kinds of sh*t, then you need to reevaluate your life.
