Thanks for the info. Never seen Tryptophunk, but I was leaning towards Greyboy anyway. Already bought tickets for Leftover Salmon though. Definitely walking over to that right after Meter Men. That's gonna be an awesome night.
No way I can do that Bear Creek allstars show unless I take off thursday from work.
Gov't Mule with support from The Revivalists at Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in NOLA on May 3, 2013! Don't miss out on this awesome show after the fest!
Tickets go on-sale next Friday, Feb 22nd @ 12PM CST
Well damn. Mahalia shows start early. I'm working Friday so I'd have to hustle over from Mobile to make it. The past few times Mule has played in NOLA during Jazzfest they haven't had anything approaching Deepest End level of sit-ins, but who the hell knows. I'd be thrilled to see Page and Karl D.
They did a 5th anniversary of The Deepest End in 2008, over two nights, with lots of special guests. It was filmed, but never released. This year will be the 10th anniversary, so it's possible.
Edit: Either way, they always have lots of special guests for their Jazzfest shows.
wasn't aware of that. I kind of stumbled into attending the Deepest End. I wasn't even a big Mule fan at the time. Was in school at Auburn and one of my Mobile buddies got us tickets and basically told me I was going. So glad I went, it was a really wild night.

Yeah, I'm definitely choosing that over greyboy! So I assume that you came to your senses and are skipping out on WSP Alpharetta shows for hetty jazzfest shows? Go ahead and get ya Meter Men and Leftover Salmon dickets for the next night.

Yeah that website is a pile of turds, I gave up on it yesterday. (it's actually half ass working now, but yeah...ticket link asks for username and password) I'm just curious about how much we would miss due to Gov't Mule show.
We are definitely doing Fiya Fest and Gov't Mule for sure that friday. I think we're going to play it by ear what we do after mule depending on what time that ends. Hitting up frenchmen and doing Dr. Klaw or Living Colour certainly looks like the best options though.
This is kind of a weird question, but I'm going to the festival just for a day and by bus - it's way too far for me to drive myself and not logical to fly. I'm going on Saturday, May 4th with Fleetwood Mac headlining. What time do you think they would start and finish up their set? I don't want to have to be leaving just as they're coming on.
