Oh no. I know some girls that personally that have interaction with him. While I think he's a PoS, I don't believe he's a rapist. It just bothers me more that he'd sue. I just kinda feel like there are other ways to clear your name than taking someone to court.
Yea, I'm not sure how else you do that though. I've followed this story a little bit because I first heard about it months ago when I was getting ready to go to a Dawes/Conor show and according to what he/his attorney's are saying they tried to get this girl to retract her statement and clear his name but then she wouldn't agree.
"Mr. Oberst gave Ms. Faircloth ample opportunity to retract her allegations prior to filing this lawsuit," Oberst's attorney Martin Singer tells Jezebel. "It was only when those requests for a retraction went unanswered that [he] had no other choice but to file this lawsuit in order to clear his name."
I'm not sure what else you do at that point besides just say that the girl is lying. They pointed out how she has a history of online shadiness and lying about a lot of stuff but she apparently kept up the accusation. Maybe he's trying to send a message about this kind of lying or just show her that her lies have consequences (assuming they are all lies)?
Dunno. I totally get how people can hate him though. So no problem there. Just wanted to clarify the reason why
It's the UK one not the US version but I'm sure there will be stories from it. Like this tidbit:
There has already tension during auditions, with Smith punching both Ant and Dec after accusing them of stealing his fags from his dressing room, as well as a fall out with Mel B over access to the show’s makeup artist.
"The problem with GnR is that they suck. The songs suck. Even when they were in their prime they sucked. Remnants of an era of misogynistic sunset strip garbage. Bros who dressed like girls but still acted like high school jocks.

"Q: Is Primus going to keep going into the new year? A: We’re touring with Tool in January. At the moment, I’m working on an album with Sean Lennon. He did a tour with Primus with his band Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, and we became buddies. We started jamming in the back lounge of the tour bus, and I was really impressed with his guitar playing. He has an interesting and abstract approach to his instrument. He definitely got the gene from both sides. So he’s been up here for the last couple of weeks, and then we’re probably going to tour. Primus has been at it for five years. It’s time to take a break and let it breathe a little bit."
