Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
I will be there early, but I would suggest coming in Wednesday if possible. It will cost an extra $20 to camp, but it is worth it, and there will be some music on Wednesday I am sure. Which leads me to your next question. Hotel? WTF. No. Camping it is. Camping is one of the things that makes Wanee so special. If flying your stuff down is an issue, we can work on that. I have extra tents, my friend Kerri has an extra tent (or did Bonz take that one). Either way camping for sure. I mean, you already have an Igloo cooler down here in Florida. It might be filled with Playa dust at the moment, but you are half way there.
also, catch up on Alice in Wonderland.
Bonz, I think Fawn created her decorations and costumes from the Disney 1950's version.
Copy that...just trying to figure out if it would make more sense take my good 'ol time and drive down 13 hours (thus keeping my control freak at bay allowing me to travel with all my supplies but extending the trip a couple extra days) or fly and have to worry bout the logistics of gear (minus the cooler youve so graciously kept safe for me!)and such. Hmmm gives me something to think about tonight.
Hear you loud and clear. We are combining Wannee with a visit to Mom.. One night i said to Quacker.. the logistics of flying, camping etc are making me a little nutty, what do you think about a drive? He said LETS GO!! I"D Love to.
We are driving down early with an SVU full of Alice in Wonderland (only what cant be mailed - which is amazingly a Lot!) and front ending our trip with a visit to mom.
Our tentative plans are to drive up to meet Scroggie on Tuesday, get our tent set up, get Alice set up and skidddadle.. And head back late wed or early thursday. Prob thursday.. we shall see.
FAWN - your sewing and stuffing and prop skillz are SUPERBBBBBBB I'm really amazed and enthralled with your work
Secondly, I will have to put some thought towards this. one of the reasons I can't do coach is moola, but I want to go for real.
Next on the plate, Fuzz has asked for a March Hare hat. So Im up on that. Dee wanted some Cheshire stuff, so Im all over whatever anyone wants, regardless of my presence.
Thanks Mayo and YAY for Mayo hats!! I love soft sculpting. Picked it up about oyyy 30 years ago. Its so fun getting to use those skills again. Not a lot of call for hand made stuffed critters. ;D I'm taking on Cliffs door mouse. And finishing up the current prop list. Really looking forward to seeing the costumes!
<--- This guy to the left is on the top of the pile in an over stuffed big arse suitcase that is going to FLA tomorrow am. with my mom. If that suitcase gets opened in transit - POOF - the March hare will be the first one out and in a poofing furry. I'd pay good money to see that!
You're forgetting that I haven't seen the movie, yet I baaaarely know what you are referring to!
Speaking of which, when I was googling images, I noticed that there seems to be multiple versions out there.. any tips on the version(s) that I should see? Original Disney? The newer one? I will probably even buy a copy since I have some major studying to do!
www.imdb.com/title/tt0043274/ THis is the one that matters. The newer one is horrible. Probably Tim Burton's worst film. I can't believe you've never seen the classic disney one. We might need a bonzai callout thread to talk shiz in until you watch it.

I was not a fan of the recent Alice movie. Helena Bonham Carter is superb as the Queen Of Hearts in it. The Disney version is available on Netflix Instant. I think I'll check it out later tonight for a refresher. I also remember a live action version from the 80's that I seemed to enjoy.

Haha Long... if you reread that thread (or look at the post count) you'll realize that someone conveniently never posted in there... Emoney would have easily given me a 10.
And Fuzzy- thanks for letting me know it's on instant! I almost ordered it today when I clicked submit on a 180 dollar Amazon order... oye!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Noob question #3: Do you camp next to your car? An is the weather Coachella like where at night it is cool enough to sleep in your car? If I could forego a tent and just skleep in the back of an SUV with an air mattress that would be swell
It's in the woods, so there isn't always room to park everyone right there. If you get there early it shouldn't be a problem. As for weather, warm during the day and a still bit chilly at night. It's nice being able to have a campfire.
Once again, we apologize for interrupting these wonderful plans but we have an announcement to make. We are just passing the message along.
SIGGY! Do you need a trip down the Rabbit hole? Well, you have some people that want to get you alone in the woods at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. They got together and long story short, you now have a ticket to Wanee 2013! ;D
Get your party pants on, pack your "stache", and it looks like you might want to refresh yourself to Alice in Wonderland, because you are in for a weekend of madness! ;D
These are amazing! Are you buying them? If not, I totally am!
I am!! I officially have WellBalancedMusic's address, so tomorrow I am going to order them and have them shipped to him. There's 12/pack, so if you wanted to order some too, then everyone (or most?) can have one!

I stinking LOVE this thread and all these people. SO MANY LESSTHANTHREES
BONZ - Im happy to help with any sewing that is necessary for your cheshire cat-ness!! I did a titch of research for Abra back when, and found some pink and purple striped fur fabric online. It's pricey, but I think I could get an entire tail and two leg warmers out of a yard or two. OR if you just want a headpiece, I can def to that with less than a yard. We can emailz back and forth about it if you want ;D
I had an idea kind of off of Fawn's idea with the deck of cards too - for those people who arent necessarily interested in "Full" costuming for the whole weekend - obvs - hats would be a good idea. As most people now agree, having the hoods at Moog was great bc we could find each other easily, and of course the notoriety was fun too. So I was thinking - what about the wheelie type caps (similar to the cheshire cap posted back a couple pages) but red with say a pipe-cleaner stalk and a heart/diamond/spade/club at the top? Then the hats will have some height for location purposes, but little bulk so no one's views are obstructed at shows. I like the cheshire cat hats - but dont know how we could make them TALLER so they'd work well as locators...... I could do a prototype if anyone is interested?
It seems that Coach W2 is sold out for GA passes, so I'm letting it go in my heart. Now I can look at pricing for this spectacular event....

Or if you guys wanted some personalization to them - I could put a number on the back ("I'm the 6 of spades!) and a different figure (spade/club/diamond/heart) at the top, etc. I thought about putting like, "Down the Rabbit Hole" or "Through the Looking Glass" on the back, but that's a lot of felt letters.

If you dont want to order a pack Im willing to order one as well. Ill just need an address to ship them too
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.

Thoughts??
If you end up doing this, count me in for the Ace of Spades

And if card caps are what's what, there are other "cool" cards: i.e. the One-Eyed guys (Jack of Spades, Jack of Hearts, and King of Diamonds), the Black Lady (Queen of spades), the Suicide King (Hearts) and of course - the JOKER.
1. Mayo, as always, you are a goddess. If you want to do group, hats, I am TOTALLY down.
2. For everyone else- we shooooould decide cards or Cheshire. The best part of Mayo hats, like she said, is that it's easy to find each other in a crowd. For those non-Moogers.. imagine being at a show and being able to easily spot everyone else no matter where they are? IT'S LIFE CHANGING. (Also, WBM and others worried about their costume, these hats are good on off costume days, or for a few hours during the day if you're dressing up at night, etc..) They are simply rock star)

I'll do what ever you guys want!!! I'm with Bonz, I think that only one choice should be the standard - it's AMAZING having that camaraderie and people start saying - "its the Cheshire people!" or "it's the Deck of Cards!" But not both!
If we go Cheshire hats, I can make the tails go UP the back of the hat so that's the Locator Antennae. .........I feel a rendering coming up.
