Ahhh thanks for posting this!! Just listened I love the shit out of FI but am so worried that Sam doesn't have many years left in his voice with the way he sings....
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Cave In/Converge "super group" playing 70's stoner riffage? Somebody call Dave Maynar.
I was on my way to post it. You are one of the few people who could appreciate that their bass played being that sound guy from St Vitus makes them even that much more awesome.

I'm pretty underwhelmed. For me, it sounds more like a bonus track from Songs To Fan Flames Of Discontent. I like that album and all, but it's tough to get excited about it after the perfection that was their last album and the seventeen years of mythology built up behind it. I was talking to /usr/bin/simp about it, and I agree with his statement that the music is good but the vocals sound lazy.
I really like the new Of Monsters and Men. I dig the two FI tracks that have been released, but they aren't hitting me with the same punch that Singles did/does. I've only given both tracks a couple listens so far though.

What the hell happened to you, man? You used to be cool.
You taught me that you look much cooler when you hate everything.
Come on though. Are you saying that song is great once you get past the thrill of it being a new Refused song? I don't think it's a bad song by any means. I just expected more, but that could be a function of what I built it up as in my head.

dave was never cool and refused are fucking dead
Just kidding, dave's pretty cool. Here's my issue with the track. If you break up your band after releasing such a legendary album and then 17 years later decide you aren't done, your song had better be obscenely cool. It was okay but it would have been the worst track on TSOPTC in my opinion,
"It's about aliens abducting people and manipulating our past, present and future. It's about the top of the pyramid, so to speak," Pike says. "And it's also about alien hybrids, and how we've been immersed amongst this culture of E.T.s for thousands of years, and how no one has woken up to it until recently."
This is really the only misstep on the entire album. It's not even a bad song, it's still pretty good, but goddamned if Young Thug doesn't just fuck this right up. He would be the worst rapper out right now, if not for the fact that Tyga is still alive.
I agree he's shitty but I think that weird voice inflection thing he does actually works well on this song. I like it more than I thought I would to be honest.
