You have a very odd and inaccurate depiction of northern football fans, for the record.
FWIW, I don't have an very odd and inaccurate depiction of northern football fans; whoever came up with this list might have. I think it was done as a joke. I know my posting of it was done as a joke.
As for tonight, I could give a crap. Don't like either one. Excited to watch it though.
Right now watching the Ga Tech - Va Tech game, I'm reminded of 3 things.
1-Blacksburg/Lane Stadium is a great place to watch a football game. Especially at night. Enter Sandman is pretty cool to experience, but they do stop the song way too early. ???
2-VT was 11-3 last year. Clemson was responsible for 2 of those losses. I was at both. ;D
3-I am already sick to death of hearing about how Logan Thomas is the second coming of Cam Newton. Sick to death.

That's a general gripe with football announcers. They find story lines and just beat them into the ground. One of UT's games last year featured them mentioning how young of a team UT was every 3 minutes for the whole game. It got old real quick.
Anyone else want to put up a W-L prediction for your team? Here goes mine for UT. I am sure Sang will love it.
Overall (8-4) SEC (4-4) North Carolina State W Georgia State W #23 Florida L Akron W #6 Georgia L Mississippi State W #2 Alabama L #9 South Carolina L Troy W Missouri W Vanderbilt W Kentucky W
vs. #19 Oklahoma State L vs. South Carolina State W at #5 Oregon L vs. Oregon State W at #21 Stanford L vs. Washington L vs. # 1 USC L at UCLA W vs. Colorado W at Utah L vs. Arizona State W
This is hard. I never do these b/c I'm usually too optimistic.
2012 Clemson Football Schedule Record: 10-2, 6-2 ACC
09/01 #Auburn W
09/08 Ball St. W Cupcake
09/15 Furman W Cupcake
09/22 Austin St L It is hard to win in Tallahassee. I hope they prove me wrong. Praying for an early game b/c we'll be at Music Midtown.
09/29 boston College W We lost up there 2 years ago when we shouldn't have. Luckily I was at the Rally to Restore Sanity so I didn't see it. I don't think it will happen this year.
10/06 Georgia Tech W We are pretty good at home. Being at home makes me say W.
10/20 Virginia Tech W See Ga Tech.
10/25 @wake Forest L We will lose a game we shouldn't; this being a Thurs night away game this might be it. I hope not.
11/03 duke W We lost there in 2004. Humiliating. Better not happen again.
11/10 Maryland W Home game optimism.Hope it doesn't bite me in the butt.
11/17 NC State W See Maryland. Plus they beat us last year & shouldn't have.
11/24 South Carolina W We have to beat them this year. I can't handle another loss by them. I may have to swear off sports all together. I basically did until last month after last year's loss.
That's WAY more optimistic than I feel good about, but thinking about each game it's what I keep coming to. Hope I'm wrong & we win them all! Or, I hope I'm right & we lose no more than 2. As ESPN likes to remind us, we're Clemson, the team who always lose games we shouldn't. I would LOVE to prove them wrong this year.
Sorry this is so long. I get carried away. I'm sure you've figured that out by now!

Mississippi State
Jackson State (H) Win Auburn (H) Win Troy (A) Win South Alabama (H) Win Kentucky (A) Win Tennessee (H) Win Middle Tennessee (HC) Win Alabama (A) LOLoss Texas A&M (H) Win LSU (A) LOLoss Arkansas (H) Win Ole Miss (A) Win
The only team that I predicted a win against that I don't think we are better than is Arkansas. The game is at home, and fuck it I want to believe we will finally knock off one of the big boys in the West.
Wisconsin L at UCLA W at Arizona L Washington State W at Brigham Young W Utah L at Washington L Arizona State W at Stanford L California W Oregon L Nicholls St W
Looks like a .500 year or so. I want to have more confidence than this, but we'll do something stupid and lose two of the three between UCLA/Arizona/Washington. Utah might be a game that can be picked off. But we'll prob get creamed by Oregon and Wisconsin, and fall to Stanford but keep it close there.
Third in the north would be a nice take, after Oregon and Stanford
Auburn W Ball St. W Furman W Florida St. L at Boston College W Georgia Tech L Virginia Tech L at Wake Forest L at Duke W Maryland L N.C. State W South Carolina L
;D vs. Michigan, 41-14 W vs. Western Ky W @ Arkansas W vs. Fla Atlantic W vs. Ole Miss W @ Missouri W @ Tennessee W vs. Miss State W @ LSU W (Obviously the only game to be nervous about) vs. Texas A&M W vs. Western Carolina W vs. Auburn W ???
dave -looks pretty accurate, may lose to missouri or vandy bacon- no one cares steph-if we lose to wake i'll jump in front of a train. i'm going to say 11-1, with gt or vt as our loss. of course it's going to be really tough to win at fsu, but i am pretty confident that we can do it. as far as sc goes, i'm not even going to think about losing to them again. that can not happen. tom-lol awatd-delusional 6-6 ld- no one cares rdk-you suck jp-5-0 start, finish 6-6 longinus-you own all of us

Yeah, if I am going to be wrong about anything, it will be Missouri. Honestly, I don't know much about their recent history. I think Vandy is more of a lock, but they will probably play up to us because of that cell phone video last year.

most sec fans i've talked to are underestimating mizz and a&m. they'll be right there in mix. not at the top, but definitely competing. and i said vandy may beat you, just because it's a rivalry game, anything goes there.

I am not underestimating them. Just ignorant of how good they really are. They have to be somewhat legit otherwise the SEC wouldn't have picked them up.
