Living in GA as a child, I grew up a Dawg. I twirled before games on the field, tailgated & attended almost every home game until I moved to Mississippi in middle school. After my first week at Clemson I found my true love, both in life & on the field. UGA will always be my #2, after my Tigers! My husband does hate UGA with a passion though. I guess as a life long Tiger fan that's not surprising.
And we get to play each other the next 2 years! As it should be. YAY!!
I have attended (and thoroughly enjoyed) multiple college football games in the south. Rarely, if ever, it had to do with the actual game being played, though.
I can see that. You haven't been to Clemson though, right? Just curious, what schools have you been to on gameday?
Florida State, Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, Syracuse (awful), Army about 3948539735 times (pretty awesome even though they've always sucked). Mostly visiting cousins and stuff, although I had an opportunity to go to the Florida/Georgia game for free once (as in fly down for free) and I turned it down. I'll never forgive myself for that.
they might. as bad as sc looked. 1.uga 2.fla 3. vandy
can you ever turn the trolling off?
it'll clearly be uga and sc in some order as 1 and 2
i don't think it's very clear. sc got lucky to beat vandy. they are nowhere near as good as people think they are. they have 0 down field threat. stop lattimore and the qb draw. any good defense can do that.

Supervisor: <shaking head> About your evaluation, it looks like we may have to lower your score. Me: <confused> What? Why? Supervisor: It's a Friday during football season, and you're not wearing orange.
I really think its less of SC being overrated and more of Vandy being underrated. They give us trouble every year. When I was a student at SC I think Vandy beat us twice. I'm happy that we got this game out of the way, because usually what happens is we get on a roll after we beat Georgia and people think we're unstoppable and ranked in the top 10, and then midway through the season its usually Vandy that takes it away from us and we play like shit for the rest of the season.
From watching the highlights alone, yeah, the Gamecocks played like shit Thursday, but its only the first game. I'll just sit here, 7,000 miles away, and anxiously await the Missouri game in a few weeks.
