Hey now people - this is the confessions thread! No judgement zone! How will we get people to admit to ridiculous likes/dislikes if we berate them at every turn????
Berate? Mayo, you've surely seen me bring the literary pain on fools before. This is just light-hearted jesting.

I don't know who this karasko guy is but he sounds like a huge pretentious d*ckheaded jerk. Maybe he's French. Or Canadian. Or some awful anti-American combination of the two.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Oh, karosko. One day you will learn to have an opinion on the arts that wasn't spoon fed to you by one of your professors. It will be a great day. ;D
Hey now, don't jeopardize my future job security, Dave!
OK, I'm gonna get flamed six ways from Sunday for this confession.
These are just a FEW of the "classics" on the 100 Best Novels list I have never read: 1984, A Clockwork Orange, All The King's Men, Brave New World, Catch-22, Grapes of Wrath, Heart of Darkness, Lolita, The Maltese Falcon, On the Road, Slaughterhouse Five, The Sun Also Rises, Tropic of Cancer... (the list goes on!)

My confession? Although I LOVE to read, I can't stand most classics. I think I blame high school English classes forcing you to analyze everything while you read rather than getting lost in the book. I haven't read any of those besides Lolita. I own it it French and I still don't think I have ever finished it...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I just woke up from a nap where I dreamed that Duddits called me from Red Rocks asking me to come out and I did. At some point He declared himself Inforoo's best poster.
It's odd because A) He's never say that. B) It's totally true.

1984 and Brave New World are 2 of my favorites. But Heart of Darkness can suck it.

Grapes of Wrath, read it, NOW. Heart of Darkness avoid at all cost
