Peter Jackson stretched a 300-page book into three 3-hour movies, Mike Myers turned a 200-word story into a 90-minute movie, a Disney ride inspired 5 movies and counting, and someone is making a movie about a 16-bit blue hedgehog that collects rings... yet this is what surprises you?
Yea. Tell me more about this Sonic movie.... Whaaaaa?
And what Disney ride has 5+ movies? Pirates of the Carribbean? I thought they were done with that.
The last one grossed over a billion dollars, so you know they're going to keep milking that cash cow until she dries right up. It's also pretty much the only profitable pirate movie in history - and it's been quite profitable indeed.
This one I just learned about the other day. I should be more excited at the article's mention of a Jack Black Goosebumps movie, but he hasn't been in anything watchable in 6 or 7 years, so... meh.
I purposely ignored the mention of Jackson. The monstrosity of a trilogy he just created makes me very upset.
The Ents, Faramir, I agree - much was left behind in the task to tell that tale that way. Even though there was eleventy-two endings in Jackson's movie, he found a way to leave out quite a bit of the wrapping up provided in the books.
It still was cool they tried.
Edit: To make this a confession, I haven't seen any of The Hobbit films.

I was talking about the hobbit trilogy. The LOTR trilogy is alright. As far as the hobbit goes though: The first one isn't too bad. The second one is awful and a lot of nothing happens. Two movies would have covered the booked very nicely.
Confession: I haven't seen the last installment of the hobbit movies because the second one was that awful.

My boyfriend has forced me to see the Hobbit. IMO, the cartoon version I have on VHS will always be the best.

Ah, the Ralph Bakshi version. Severely underrated IMO.
My first ever concert was seeing Aaron Carter w/ A Teen @ Ntelos Wireless Pavillion on 08/04/2001 with my Mom. I wore a puffy vest and was dancing my ass off in the crowd to How I Beat Shaq. I remember getting told multiple times that I looked cool dancing in the aisle, but I think my mom paid people to say that. Fun Fact: I still know every word to Aaron's Party and will get on the counter to sing it at parties if it comes on.
New confession... I was running today with a 400 song semi-random playlist on (library based on BPM). A bluegrass banjo song came on. It was amazingly good to the point of making a "running to bluegrass" playlist.
I still get That Tent and This Tent confused all the time.
I can't remember who it was, but whoever wrote that trick about That Tent being the hat of Centeroo and This Test rhyming with piss because it's by the fountain is one of the greatest posters ever. I said that to myself so many times at Bonnaroo this year.

That was the almighty postjack. Trick helped me several times during the weekend too. Were you at brunch postjack? Kept an eye out for you but never saw you.

I just always remember that This is the bigger tent that I usually pass after leaving Which and That is the one closest to Tent Only that I normally first encounter after entering Centeroo through the arch entrance.

Nope but I definitely tried. It was about noon so two hours after brunch started but I spent a good chunk of time wandering around tent only trying to find y'all. No luck Really my only regret of the weekend. Was anyone still around at noon? I stared at a lot of people trying to determine if they looked like inforoo'ers, but I saw no obviously large group of people sharing food and drink. Then I realized well what does an inforoo'er look like? Jesus like all these other people I guess.
It seems so easy beforehand, just show up and pop over to tent only and you'll find everyone no problem. But like everything else at Bonnaroo, my memories make things smaller then they actually are. Tent only was bigger and more congested then I remember it.
I did get some texts from some inforoo'ers on Sunday but by then I was already on my way home. And then I realized I have numbers and should've just texted somebody when I was looking for brunch.
But its progress! Next year I'll have numbers ready in my phone and will make it happen 100%.
I always think ThAt has the A that is similar in shape to the arch (and is near the arch). The Other is easy, and This is that last by default. Monie, your trick makes me confused even knowing them well and being fresh off of the farm.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I always got This and That mixed up until this year. My brilliant wife cleared up 8 years of confusion by saying"This is on the same side as The Other". Now I'm good. No matter how much I obsess over the schedule I still find that I only know who I'm seeing, not necessarily where.
It's easy. Stand in the Which field with your back to the stage.
This Tent is this one right here, just to our left.
That Tent is that way, past all that stuff like the fountain and vendors.
The Other is tucked away in the far northwest corner of Centeroo. It's a little smaller than This and That, because it's another size.
C'mon. It's three tents. I had this down by Friday night of my first Roo. Many of you have been several times, and talk about this place year-round, yet you still haven't worked it out?! No excuses.
Just knowing that This had the largest capacity cleared things up for me years ago. That Super Jam this year should have been at This, if not Which.
Do you think This has the largest capacity? I always saw That as having the largest capacity.
That always seems crowded to me when a popular act is there. The distance between the pavillion and the road is a lot shorter. With What and Which not open, I could hardly walk the path in front of That during Dopapod on Thursday. I'm not sure about the actual space under the tents, but This has lots more open real estate on the outside to enjoy a show from. The crowd in front of the lemonade and hot dog stands along the path between This and the fountain was going nuts during Run the Jewels.

I think I agree with you, there is significantly more real estate around the This. Additions of screens this year made this more apparent. During Tears for Fears I was right up against the screen, and turning around there was a HUGE group of people going way back sitting and watching the screen/show.
