The way I look at the first round normally is to assume a towny will die. We have to try to develop as many voting patterns as possible and hope the inspector gets lucky on their guess and that the mafia is unlucky in their kill.
So while this is lessening the voting patterns we have to work off of it is probably protecting the inspector. It's hard for me even to advise who the inspector should guess about, but hopefully with the name they already have they will be able to come up with something.
IMO Viking's rant about posting the PM of his role is as bad as LD faking inspector as a Townie. At least LD's action is just bad strategy.
This is true, and if he does it like he's still threatening to do, I'm going to be super pissed, as I'm sure everyone else will be, but, while I think his rants have been somewhat similar to rants I've seen before from mafia backed into a corner in a first round runoff, I'm not so sure that this is not just plain old frustration at being put in first round runoffs over and over again. Honestly, I think I'd be pretty frustrated if I was in five first round runoffs in a row.
I don't really know whether I think Viking is guilty or innocent, but I disagree with voting for someone because I don't like the way he is playing or has played in the past.

First, this is half of the problem, but it is not so much getting tossed into the runoff, as for why, as I have explained ad nauseam in what everyone has taken as a rant. 5 players basically said that they cant figure me out and I drew 3 votes from that crowd. KDogg took the early run at me with his word counting after initial votes, and LLL switched over for "reasons" that were never explained. This all happened before we left page 2. That left NBF, SFA, and Bacon as the only ones who either had nothing to say about not figuring me out, or voting for me for an obscure reason.
Even then, the 7 way attack is fine if I can defend against it, but there is NO way to defend against the cant figure him out so lets kill him reason. NBF, you are a para-legal for the state. That would be like saying well a crime was committed and these 11 people were in the room. I know this one guy has a great poker face, so instead of trying to figure out if he did it, lets toss him in the chair and light him up. Maybe now you can understand why I was so mad.
I am not mad anymore, but I do intend to follow through if need be with regards to posting my role. It is not a threat. It is simply a statement of intention until people can say what makes me so guilty that I get to fry for getting mad.
With regards to the names and activity today, I am pretty comfortable that I came pretty damn close or hit the nail on the head. KDogg is the loud one, LLL is the mid foil and Quacker is the mole.
Quacker, to answer your earlier post, you put LLL in for the same reason I kept promoting runoffs instead of the easy kill last game. It seperates you from the other 2 and allows you to lie low if someone links KDogg and LLL.
LLL, glad to hear you got your chi in order. I finally got my BAC in order from Friday night so I feel better as well. That said, I never attacked you other than say I believe you are mafia, and as your post today shows, I think you are protesting too much when I have said nothing too damning about you yet.
KDogg, I believe you were trying too hard to be the old KDogg, and came up with a theory that did not hold water to try and take a run at me, since that was what you said you would do via pm, and in the final messages of last game.
As I said, I could be wrong, but this is what makes the most sense to me right now. Kill me and as I have stated, you will find out you killed a townie. Don't kill me and you have a shot and putting the mafia down one member day 1. Bacon, Nic, EAP, and MC, the choice is yours. Definitely knowing you are 6-3 or potentially being 7-2, but not knowing for sure if I am a townie.
I am asking you to trust me. I know that in some of your minds, I may not deserve that trust for my Friday Night drunken rant, but I am still asking because I do want us to win. The choice is in the 4 of your hands at this point. I would like to live and keep the integrity of this game intact, and I am trying to give a little here in exchange for just one of you giving a bit back.

Fawn, may I have permission to post the PM exchange Viking & I had outside of this game? The PMs in question were an offshoot conversation from my Scott Walker thread and took place long before this game began. I think they might go to show that what Viking is talking about here is much ado about nothing. I feel the exchange is not as damning as he repeatedly claims it to be, and since these PMs are not related to this (or any) Mafia game I feel transparency regarding the aforementioned exchange would not violate Mafia rules.

Ummm. Viking. I hardly said anything, especially in comparison to what I USUALLY have to say. However, you did list me on your list of people who are surely Mafia. I guess if you don't call that "damning", I'm not sure what you would call "damning". But keep reaching man. Just like you did last time we played together.

I also explained my "reasons" multiple times now. However you apparently choose to ignore that fact. and the fact that it is the same "reason" you gave for a vote earlier in the round.
LLL, the big difference is that last time I was mafia, and I knew you were a townie. Now I am a townie, and I THINK you are mafia. That is a very very big difference.
Also, as even you noted, you are playing differently. If others think it is a reach, then I am going to die. If they don't, and see beyond my posts from Friday night, then you will.
Really, Day one comes down to do people feel that
1) My Friday posts deserve Death
2) I am too difficult to read to live
3) People actually think I am mafia
OR
1) Your abnormal stacking is more suspicious
2) Lack of any reasoning after you claimed to have one, and then back filling it with saying you were trying to bait me is suspicious
3) Completely different playing behavior with quick filler posts, plus posting almost immediately after I made both of my posts today like someone texted you to come on and post is suspicious

Maybe it's just because I've spent plenty of time on Photoshop but posting a screengrab wouldn't make me belive it to be true. I think that would just cause more trouble then anything. Plus, it is clearly against the rules.

I would be fine with this. He's bringing it up as some sort of evidence, so if the ref is cool with it then I think it's fair that others get to read it. If both parties are cool with it being posted then I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be.

I actually got a chuckle out of reading some of the political content with the context of this game in mind. As such, I sent the entire PM to Fawnmart for her approval - and asked permission to post that PM in its entirety. Seeing that I am its author and only quoted four single sentences from your end, I don't think that is entirely unreasonable.

Fair. Thats why I have a screen grab instead of a quote, but I don't photoshop much so I did not think of it like you did. I would think it would be pretty easy to tell anyways, but since I respect yours and Fawn's opinion, I will sleep on posting it and consider not doing so. Regardless, I am still hoping that someone comes around on this.
Also, I am going to respectfully disagree on quacker, although he is the one I am least sure of at this point. I have him at 50% which is well above the next person, on my list (EAP who I have at 33%). You can agree that SOMEONE will be distancing though either through content, votes, or both.
