Haha, missed it while I was typing my post...I will remove my foot from my mouth, then concur.
I wasnt lucky enough to live that close... but my fam did vacay there every summer for a week, and when I got to college, my brother and I would take our gf's (now wives) every spring break.
Im from Arkansas, so most middle class folks here vacay in GulfShores/OB/PerdidoKey or Destin. 8-9 hr drive aint bad. Last Hangout was my first time back in Gulf Shores since '07 so It was awesome. We started staying further and further into OB and eventually Perdido Key the older we got. It was dope to be back in the old part of Gulf Shores.

Re: Jimmy Buffett... When we went in high school, we'd smoke and go to Adventure Island (the one with the big Volcano) Anyways, it used to erupt with these big ass fire-balls we thought were so cool, and when it got done, they always immediately played Jimmy Buffett "Volcano".
Id like to hear Buffett on the beach for that exact reason.

yeah. i don't know why one would think releasing the lineup on fat tuesday is a good idea.
I did just hear a Muse song on the radio, and enjoyed it. First time hearing muse. If every song sounds like Madness I'd be down for that.

Every song does, indeed, sound like Madness. Overly dramatic rock + light show. Could be worth it on the beach. (I am personally indifferent towards Muse so could go either with them)
On another note: I don't want a repeat headliner. WSP was already there! (stomps foot and walks away)

ummm every Muse song definitely does not sound like Madness, at all actually. The new album, including Madness, is sort of a departure from their earlier sound and the band constantly changes it up.

Every time I hear a Muse song I feel like they're trying way too hard to be Radiohead-esque, and failing. Some of their stuff is OK, but pretty generic and they have the curse of most of their songs sounding the same.
Theyre headlining Jazz Fest- they won't be there (proximity clauses- from what I have heard)
as for Soundgarden- they are impossible 17th- Ohio (separate from ROTR) 18th- NJ 19th- ROTR
If the Avett Bros are not there I will be very surprised due to their block of open dates..not as a headliner by any means but potentially in that ES spot of Sunday

Click on Columbus Crew Stadium and it's Rock on the Range. Soundgarden's website tour dates are powered by Songkick. It's an error.
Rock on the Range is 5/17, 5/18, 5/19. Soundgarden has booked a date in NJ on 5/18, if they had not, I would be 99.9999999999999999% they're website would probably list 5/17, 5/18 and 5/19 all as Columbus, OH. Rock on the Range is at Columbus Crew Stadium. They will not play Rock on the Range 5/17 and 5/19.

TK has been promoting the Hangout since 2011. If there is going to be a band that is played on that station like Foo Fighters, RHCP...the fest wants the pub and the station wants the listners.
