Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
The weird thing about Aucoin's show was the repetitive call backs with the big screen monitors, which felt too similar to a contemporary church rally. Dan Deacon's shows seem more animalistic, which I love. Certainly similar brain chemistry is involved in the appeal of both acts.
I'm not so sure about all the talk about Macca being "allowed" to play one fest, both fests, or neither fest.
He's Paul friggin' McCartney. If he will play your fest, you welcome him and give him everything you can. You don't place rules on him. He's bigger than you; not the other way around.
That said, I certainly have no clue where, if anywhere, he'll play this summer.
If Paul isn't at either Hangout or Bonnaroo at this point I will be disappointed. Shit! But if Bonnaroo landed him, ain't no way they keep him from doing Hangout if he wants.
If I was Paul McCartney I would rather play on the friggin beach and have 100 people running around catering to needs I hadn't thought of yet at all times than play on the hot ass farm in the middle of f'n Tennessee.
What's cooler for a performer? If I was some huge act playing on the beach with waves crashing etc would be pretty fuckking sweet.
Thank god for the fake posters I don't even give a shitt about the lineup at this point. I mean, I care about it but I'm not obsessing over it. In full on Mardi Gras mode now!
As someone else already posted, Aucoin says no Hangout this year for him
all the more reason to use his music in the teaser; no leading or misleading hints. With that said, if you read into the bob Hudson thing anyway when combined with Shaul's yellow submarine purchase it makes for either two great clues if they get macca, or two offensive (if intentional) or idiotic (if accidental) red herrings if they don't. I think I just convinced myself that ill be pissed at HO if there is no macca, and I wasn't thinking that way before I wrote this
Paul Simon is the only Macca type the HO has headlined so i don't think it's a given that they try for a "legacy" headliner every year. Prince has put out two new songs in the last couple of weeks so he is still my hope. Also, if ypu count Dave as jam

Isn't yellow submarine a Ringo song? I mean that guy's still touring too

Welp. I suppose I should've googled before I posted. It was written by McCartney. Carry on.

Quick question which may or may not be related: does anyone know when phish normally releases their summer ter sched? I know this one is different because XXX, but do any of y'all know any ballpark of when it was released in the past?

My buddy Google told me it was officially announced on February 29th for last year.
I'm glad my posts can provide so much entertainment. My point was simple and blown out of proportion. If Macca plays HO it will be because he is in America to play other major fests. i.e. Roo. I just don't see HO getting Macca exclusively. But as another wise poster said, Macca plays where he wants. BTW I was on something good last night, so my lack of logic was probably evident. I can share, so we can enjoy Mumford better.

Is there any info on volunteering in exchange for a paid ticket for Hangout fest? I have some friends that have done things like this in the past and it's definitely something I'd be interested in looking into to.

Man if you don't know by now that Paul McCartney is headlining the HO then you can't read between lines even the guy who made the fake lineup knows McCartney is playing they have done everything but tell us like the owner of the HO restaurant tweeted a picture of a yellow submarine. Who the hell does that unless they are trying to send a message!

Thanks guys. Has anyone on here done the volunteer program before? I've never been to hangout, but me and a buddy are interested in going down this year. However we're from north east so basically traveling down there would cost nearly as much as the festival ticket itself, and we're just poor college kids. So between travel, lodging, and a festival ticket, it would be awesome if there was a way for one of them to get paid for in exchange for some volunteer work (which we could maybe put on a resume at some point?)

This is great. I am slowly turning into an A hole.

Welcome to the boards. I think it fills up pretty fast, so get on it next Fri (I believe). I also believe you can try and pick and choose your time a little so you can see some shows.
I could give a crap about Macca exclusivity. I hope he's at Roo and Hangout.
Both crowds would love it and have a massive Beatles party. The beach would be a better setting for that music, and the party would be stronger at Bonnaroo. Both fests deserve some love!
