Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
its a running joke on PT, in which someone who claims to have inside knowledge says that Phish tour dates will drop "tonight at 3AM". This is of course a ruse to get newbs to stay up in anticipation of an announcement.
Kangfirmed is a variation on confirmed inserting the name of Michael Kang, of String Cheese Incident, into the phrase. Initially it was just a funny way of saying confirmed, but its kind of morphed into a way of saying "I heard a rumor that". Like "its totally kangfirmed that Petty will be at Bonnaroo this year".
I saw Muse at Voodoo '10, having never heard them, because they were so hyped as having a huge stage show and being amazing etc. My girlfriend and I were just like "WTF is this crap?" They were just so overproduced and cheesy. All dressed in goofy costumes. We felt like they were trying to sell up some image.
Muse live was like Matrix characters trying to sell us Mountain Dew. I'll add this caveat as well, we were in a pretty far out state of mind and were still not impressed and thought it was weak.
I'd give them another chance though, every band has bad nights.
So have any of y'all seen Muse live? Are they a good show? I don't really mind someone coming unless they suck live.
I've seen them twice. Once in '04 (Curiosa Festival - Cincinnati, OH) and once in '05 (LC Pavillion - Columbus, OH). They were both great shows. A lot has changed since then and I really don't care for the their last couple albums, but it's a good show.

I saw the same show caddy did at voodoo, but have a different opinion. While I agree it was shiny, glammy, and overproduced, I thought it was fun and rocking. I didnt even know any of the sobgs hardly. Would definitely be interested in seeing them again.
I think the new album is good, but Madness is an awful song.

To be fair, most of the big names on the first page were wish list material. Nobody seriously believed we were getting Radiohead. I've been expecting Mumford since this summer, and I've figured Petty was inevitable since the first year.
I can deal with this top 3 as long as the undercard is strong, particularly the pre-headliners. But I still think it's too early to assume the rumors are true.
Hangout FB full of butthurt over not getting tickets today. I think most people don't realize you have to be on top of onsale times to get tickets nowadays.

I find that most people on festival facebook pages are terrible.

Knowing the guys who run the festival and the owner, I doubt they'll jeopardize their credibility or his investment on a dumb fourth year lineup. These guys really aren't much different than us, they go to festivals too. I'm not saying this year's lineup will be better than any year before, but I doubt they implode the festival.
I heard DeLuna tried to get Petty in 2011, but was told by his management that "he doesn't play on the beach." Guess that changed.
I'm related to a Heartbreaker. Playing on the beach has never come up in our conversations about touring and the live show. IIRC there wasn't a 2011 tour, so I imagine that might have been a bigger issue than the beach.
Last time I talked to any Heartbreakers was at the Ft Myers show. That was back in spring, so Hangout 2013 didn't come up.

Make a quick call and see what you can find out. I'll help you. "Hey (insert term for how you are related)! Coming to Christmas this year? Ok, cool. So, Hangout 2013?"

Also Bonnaroo, just so we can stop this nonsense talk at inforoo.
