Alright seriously...it's been almost two weeks since the lineup drop. This might be the longest any fest has waited to announce their "mystery" headliner. I mad.

It's still blurred out on the fb page. They are still working on the rest of the lineup.

what if... Hangout is waiting for the all good lineup to drop tomorrow so they can announce furthur in the sand?? too far fetched?
If their initial 3rd headliner did infact bail, then I could see them going after another band last minute (obviously). If Furthur had already signed w/ All Good and then Hangout came calling I could see Hangout having to wait for All Good to be announced. If HO had Further signed the whole time, I don't see that being in the contract.
I really hope Furthur is infact the 3rd headliner (however it came about)- that would be fan-frieken-tastic.

My view may be in the wrong here, and I am fine with that. But if hangout is waiting for a jam band festival in freakin Ohio to announce the lasting members of the grateful dead; Shouldn't hangout just close up shop then. I don't see where HMF is at all connected to ALL GOOD, or awaiting to announce. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if...... The Avett Brothers announced as the third headliner and let Bassnectar close down the fest. Avett from 730 to 930 and Bassnectar from 930 to 11 (Chevy Stage). Sure the hell would not be popular, but Lollapalooza does it. Not condoning this type of behavior, but I worry about what is happening right now.
5/17-19: HANGOUT

I agree with you guys. I am just going insane with this wait. We need a new fake poster. That needs to be the mission tomorrow. It seemed to work the first time. Where's elev8?!

I just find it so odd how they have kept everyone in the dark this year. Waited and waited for the lineup to drop and then finally does but wait.......... theres more artist we are going to release at a later date including a mystery 3rd headliner and we're not saying when we are going to release them. I seriously have found myself in deep thought thinking about what happened, who were they going after, have they even signed a 3rd headliner yet, is this going to become the new norm for the hangout? Or maybe they're confident that the 3rd headliner will blow everyones mind away and want to make everyone squirm until they're ready to mind f*** all the doubters!?

It's hard for me to doubt this festival due to the amount of fun my group had the last two years. But , making everyone wait around in suspense rubs me the wrong way... Has big boi been added to any festival lineups ? He would be a real nice addition and fit the " hangout vibe". Not 3rd headliner spot *

With Kendrick & Public Enemy, I doubt they would go after Big Boi..it would be cool though
I do find it a bit frustrating that they're holding out on the last headliner and additions. I can only think someone backed out or they didn't have a complete lineup but released the bulk of it when the fake posters started showing up. I already have tickets and a condo rented, so we're going regardless. I DO hope this last headliner is one that makes me go WOW rather than, meh. Mumford wouldn't do it for me, neither would Avett Bros., but I'd still check them out. Further would definitely be a WOW for me, Nine Inch Nails would. Stevie Wonder would be somewhere in between only because I respect him as a legendary artist.

Nothing new to report at this point. To my knowledge, delay is NOT due to a back out or lack of signing....i personally say no way outkast or big boi solo are happening. I'd love it, but don't see it this year.
I really want to buy a ticket to see Phoenix at the Tabernacle the week before Hangout, but i'd be kicking myself if they were announced as the third headliner. Dammit hangout...hurry the f*ck up before these tickets sell out.

Big Boi just signed to play Beale St which is 2 weeks before. Its possible as a regular addition.

Phoenix will definitely sell out the Tabernacle, and they're unlikely to play Hangout since they're headlining Jazz Fest. Buy your ticket.

It seems to me if Hangout was just waiting for a specific date to announce the third headliner and additional acts, they would have a countdown or at least a Facebook post that told people when to expect the announcement.
I'm not really sure why they have kept people in the dark so much this year.
I was told that the 3rd headliner was between Green Day and Paul McCartney. Don't know how reliable my source is but he knows a guy on the city council down in Gulf Shores...
