Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around much to update the OP. But now I am. And now I have. I put problem dog's headliner rumors and undercard rumors list there for easy reference. I'll continue to update and hang out (see what I did there?) in this thread more often. I'm so excited to finally be going this year! If I've missed anything then please let me know, either by posting in here or just shoot me a PM. Thanks to everyone (especially problem dog!) for keeping up interest and doing some dirty work on potential artists. I can't wait to share a great experience on the beach with you all!

The all dead artist lineup made me chuckle...and also think an opportunity for an all dead comedy lineup ala Roo was missed.....Lenny Bruce, Redd Foxx, Bill Hicks, Mitch Hedburg, Bernie Mac, Greg Giraldo....

Dearest Pablo: Every time I hear the gumbo shop lately, I feel as though you're dropping science on the masses. Are you purposefully playing to the reported rumors of this festival lineup? (pixies = breeders hint?) also: nice choice with the brain stew selection today. I got a laugh out of that.
McCartney is the big rumor. Too many rumblings from too many different places to ignore, but still seems hard to believe. Confirmed for Bonnaroo, so he'll be in the US this summer.

Uh, what did I miss?
I know that was some nine months ago, but Macca isn't playing both.

Juggs confirmed it, and he's staking a lot of his reputation on it. Others had already heard it, and there was an interview with a European festival promoter that indicated he was playing a festival in the US that weekend. There's another board member named ohio who claims he heard it from an AC employee he's friends with, but some people think he's full of it.
Anyway, there's more evidence that Macca will be at Bonnaroo than there is for him being at Hangout. If that's what you were trying to suggest the other night, you might want to reconsider your stance. McCartney is definitely a HUGE deal for Hangout, but he won't be exclusive if he's there. If that's what you're claiming, it's your sources versus the pretty credible sources over in the Bonnaroo headliner thread.
EDIT: I realize there's a lot of nonsense in that headliner thread, but the Macca rumor is pretty accepted. Also, I'm probably not 100% accurate on the details of that Euro festival, but I didn't feel like digging it up.

When the lineup is finally out, I'll clear everything. I'll be interested to see Roo's lineup too. That will pretty much confirm whether what I heard was related to Macca or another headliner.

I dunno man. "early bird" weekend passes are $60. By the time they get around to selling single day tix it'll be $40+. Wiz Khalifa and One Republic are the others playing saturday and that is complete garbage. If someone else gets added saturday that's worth a Quack...maybe. Also depends on what else is going on May 11th.

So you don't even have an actual name, but you're being vague anyway?
Just answer that: do you have one or more headliner names? Or more than one name (other than Mumford) that has been explicitly ruled out?
Because if the answer to either of those questions is no, I don't see any reason why you can't relay what you heard.
I know two things:
1)Mumford is getting big money this circuit and possibly not worth the cost-benefit(my term). That was around December. Possible it changed.
2) Hangout and Roo are looking at booking a similar act but both won't get them. I don't know which one. One could assume its someone big enough to garner that type of wrangling and money. I don't know for a fact who it is, but we can all guess.
