I'm not calling you a troll, but I have trouble believing statements like "Don't expect much Roo-HMF headliner-sharing." because that requires 3 conditions to be met:
1) Your source(s) know for a fact who is headlining Bonnaroo.
2) Your source(s) know for a fact who is headlining Hangout.
3) Your source(s) are accurate.
Hangout shared 3 of Bonnaroo's top 6 in 2011, but only one of Bonnaroo's top 3 in 2012. Nobody is predicting more than 2 out of Bonnaroo's expected top 4 at this point.
I can't outright tell y'all stuff (for now), but draw some conclusions on what I said might mean.
All you do is negate, though, and the only artist you have specifically mentioned as not being there is Mumford. Everything else points to Mumford. Are you willing to stake your reputation on Mumford not being on the lineup?
As for everything else, I'm assuming you're full of it unless you are willing to get more specific. Nobody knows who you are, it's not like you're jeopardizing your sources by claiming Macca/Petty/Muse/KoL will or won't be there.

Dude. Your headliners are way off. Elton ain't happening- he has a big residency in Vegas a week before. Hes elton john he doesnt need to bust bis ass for dates anymore hes gona play his time and go on vacation. Keys are doing Jazz Fest. PJ did Deluna and MM last year- not happening. Pretty sure we have ruled out both muse and tool (although I know these have mixed emotions- but no fact based speculation therefore no probability) Bjork? Nah. No way.

Do you mean the "aiming for the top of the circuit" post? Because unless the top line is Macca | Phoenix | The Stone Roses, it's not all that obvious what you're trying to infer.
If you can't be any more specific than that, you should maybe just keep completely quiet. Or you can PM me specifics and I'll lay off. Otherwise I'm just going to assume you know nothing, and state as much whenever you post something vague.

I think I'll take your advice and just lay low for awhile. More trouble it seems.
That's probably for the best, because I will redirect you to my other post above....no matter how clear it seems in Troo, the Bonnaroo lineup isn't 100% obvious yet. There are too many suspect links in that chain.
If we get a Mumford-free Hangout lineup, I will be the first in line to eat crow. Otherwise, I will assume your info is bunk.
I hope mobile is right! I'd love a Mumford free lineup. Or at least a top tier mumford free. Even though they sell out everywhere they go they're still not headliner worthy in my mind (but then again- I know nothing)
I would also love a Mumford-free top line, but the basis of his argument has always been that Mumford priced themselves out of headlining smaller fest like Hangout. There's no chance in hell they would be outside of the top 3 at this fest. They were #1 overall at Sasquatch.

In the same way that they are definitely going to have a few sets of reggae type artists, you can probably expect a dusting of new orleans/funk, at most festivals and definitely with HO's location. It wont get the kids excited but preservation hall, rebirth brass band, trombone shorty, dumpstaphunk, galactic, meters? and dr. John dont seem to have scheduling conflicts. I would expect as many as two from that list, even if they have played the fest in the past.

I would love trombone shorty but isn't he doing jazz fest? not that it completely rules him out since gary clark jr. did both last year...

Problem dog, it's possible that mobile knows something. It's possible. And if his source is real, it's possible that HMF added a clause for not headlining another major fest this summer, which would mean he wouldn't need to know the Roo lineup.

And for now, do we actually have anything at all to go on? Other than ruling bands out due to scheduling, the answer is no.
Aiming for the top of the circuit and not sharing with Roo, this could mean Prince. Phish (I know it's highly unlikely). Elton John (I read your logic, but it's not solid logic).
I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything, I'm just saying "what if". It seems as though lips are tight, and that could lead to a surprise top line that's awesome and unexpected.
There is talk in the headliner thread and elsewhere from time to time about Roo setting itself apart from other fests by doing certain things. Well, Roo doesn't have to. But maybe HMF thinks they have to. Maybe they're trying to put on a unique fest with a unique lineup and swinging for the fences.
Gulfport Music Fest lineup this Friday!! Woooo and it's the weekend before Hangout. I hope they get Sir Mix A Lot.

Ah damn, I would def daypass it for Master P! I don't know if you are spilling info or joking, which tells ya how bad that fest is. I love music festivals so I def see myself hitting up a day of this unless it's 100% garbage, which could easily happen.
