Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
I just don't believe it at all, just like the "festival promoter/producer" BS
If they're trying THIS HARD to keep it off every airwave/internets in the country- no way the powers that be are keeping their mouths shut I doubt that Shaul is running around spilling the news to "longhairedhippie"'s dad, who then posts that she knows "something" on twitter.
Nah.
And what you said wronginus- I wouldn't trust that judgement even if I did believe this bafoonery.
The fact that "random insiders" are popping up and giving these vague clues about an epic lineup, makes me think that it IS hangout itself just trying to have people keep some hope (but hey, thats the conspiracy theorist in me)

Yeah she's definitely just trying to get some twitter attention. I was just stating my opinion on the possibility that even if she did know something, I wouldn't take her word on it being "OMG BEST FEST EVAH!"
5/16-19: HANGOUT

so, we have 3 months to the fest...and only 3 confirmed artists: Aoki, Delta Rae and Moon Taxi (only one I personally give AF about)
Pablo- if you're lurkin- tell the big boys at Hangout that the masses are growing restless.
EDIT:: and I just gotta tell you guys I am glad a forum like this exists. If hangout's facebook was my only place to look for info I'd have surely stabbed my hand by now. Between the "positivity/negativity" fighting wall posts, that diver dude who thinks Huka has just gone Enron on us, and the morons claiming that "tom petty paul mccartney phish roger waters AND daft punk" are all going to be hangout headliners- I am just glad theres some (mostly) logical people to talk this shiz over with.

Problem Dog, let's not forget about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They're comin' back to play at Merriweather Post Pavillion on May 11 after an overseas tour. There's currently no other dates scheduled after that show in Maryland. They could easily begin a trek down South after that show and end up in Gulf Shores for Hangout.
They are also releasing new material in April. I think they're staring Hangout straight in the face. You feelin' this?
Couple more fests lineups came out today, nothing really THAT close to hangout but could give us an idea of a few bands as possibilities. NW String Summit, LA & Austin Psych Fest, Euphoria.

i saw Moon Taxi play in Mobile a few months back when they opened for Matisyahu. First time I had heard them but they definitely made me a fan that night.

^^ Moon Taxi opened for the Funky Meters at the Krewe De Bienville Mardi Gras ball on Joe Cain day in like 2011. Open bar, and the local head crew took over the dance floor. There were like 100 other people there, for the entire civic center. shizt was f'n awesome.
That show opening for Matisyahu was really good too. I made it about 30 minutes through Matisyahu though, had to bail because I was too drunk from beerfest.

I'm done with additions for tonight, but maybe. If they end up being the mystery headliner at Governors Ball, I'd say that increases their chances.

Moon Taxi are some grinders. Love those guys. I've seen them open for Mule at Sloss, at Workplay, at The Shed in Mobile, at Hangout. Each and everytime, no matter the crowd size, no matter the venue, whatever: they rock hard.

Oh I think that mystery governor's ball band is gonna bigger than the YYYs. Apparently that info is gettin' released tomorrow according to their facebook page. Enough speculation for me today as well. It's doing nothing but making me question my well being. Have a good night everyone.

That Mule show at Sloss was my first time seeing them. Mule at Sloss = heat

It's probably Mumford, who is playing their first of two dates in NYC tonight. The other date is next week, but I think it's already sold out.

I see it being some off the cuff addition for that Governor's ball spot. An artist that not many folks were expecting. Like a Justin Timberlake...or a Destiny's Child..or an Atoms for Peace. Something along those lines.

I was there, to see FM of course, but Moon Taxi really impressed me. Also that night before the set Art Neville looked directly into my eyes and just stared. I think he saw straight into the void of my soul.
Having said that, I was totally uninspired by Moon Taxi when they opened for Umphrey's over NYE. Everyone else thought it was awesome, so I'm the odd man out. It came across as just lame jammy rock with lame jammy vocals. I'd be willing to give them another shot because IIRC they brought the funk at the Krewe de Bienville. I wanted more funk and soul, and I didn't get that at the Tabernacle.

Outkast would be a headliner at any festival in the world, but Outkast is still on hiatus. Big Boi has been talking about a possible reunion in 2014 for the 20th anniversary of their first album, but even that is just talk at this point. The original word was that both of them would put out solo albums, and then maybe Outkast would get back together, but Big Boi is on album #2 and Andre hasn't done sh*t. Headlines pop up every time either of them has something to promote, because that's a lazy go-to interview question. Every vague answer can be spun into a headline.

The last two years have been consistent enough that it's not unreasonable to talk about a Hangout "mold." Bonnaroo's lineups were eclectic enough by 2007 that nobody was really outside the realm of possibility. Hangout has been much narrower.
True, but I think they could easily change it up and get someone that doesn't fit that mold.
And I haven't seen anyone mention any reggae type bands. I imagine there will probably be a couple there this year. Slightly Stoopid, Matisyahu, The Dirty Heads, Ballyhoo, Expendables, and a lot of other similar bands are all playing the Roots festival in California the week after and most have open dates the week before. californiarootsfestival.com/category/lineup/
Snoop Lion has a big time spot at Waka, i could see him defintely being hangout material. Dont think Rebelution or Stoopid would come this soon after playing. My hopes are for Pepper, Ziggy Marley or Expendables. 311 would be rediculous on the beach as well even though they arent really reggae
I hoping for Ty Segall in some form on that under card.
Man- I saw him last week. No idea what I was going to I'm a photographer so I just went on an assignment. Wouldnt go so far to say he blew my mind - but he was great!
