So should we assume that if Mumford doesn't announce a Hangout show, that they aren't headlining? Or than Hangout has told them to keep it quiet until they want to release this "so called" lineup

I'd only assume they're not headlining if they have a conflicting tour date. Since we have not heard ANYTHING, I don't know if we are going to get a lineup today-- but I see it feasible to get MumSons Conf at 3:30, coupled with an announcement that the rest of the lineup will be tonight at midnight
Wishful thinking, I suppose. Hope its more than that though

I'm more inclined to go with the former. If Mumford doesn't announce hangout in an hour then I don't think they're coming to the gulf.
You guys, again, what is getting announced in an hour are the Gentlemen of the Road fest dates. They could go ahead and drop extra stuff, Hangout included, but last summer they did both regular concerts and GOTR festivals. While hangout may get announced in conjunction with GOTR it's different than them just releasing all their summer plans. So I wouldn't just give up on them if that's not what's announced at 3:30.

For Hangout to be so quiet for so long, I find it highly unlikely they would allow Mumford to include anything in their announcement that the festival did not directly release. Only possibility is a reasonable gap in their schedule. If that doesn't fit, no mum.

Right. I am aware that its just the GOTR that they're announcing. Agree 100%.
The thing that makes me think we could get more is the fact that they were announced on Sasquatch- so today could have a few suprises along the way. Thats the only point I am making- that it MAY not be ONLY the GOTR dates being released. Hopefully one suprise is the Hangout Lineup!!
Dispatch just announced they are playing the Electric Forrest without the festival announcing any bands. I am hoping Dispatch is coming back to Hangout as their own tour is only 5 stops and they are already booked for 3 festivals.

Mumford is rumored to be at another festival in NW FL that is either the weekend after Hangout (which would rule them out because they'll be at Squatch) or the first weekend of June. That could throw a wrench into things. Maybe that will be part of the announcement, the fest is rumored to make an announcement sometime today.

What is the fest called? That'd be excellent
Edit:: Jambase has 5 fests releasing lineups today, damn, Its gotta be the day! YMSB is at DSJ, weekend after hangout could see us getting bluejammed again with them this year. The Werks are also there, could see them on the Thursday pre-party lineup

Damn... Lurked here for a while, hoping to get a feel for who all was rumored to come this year... Im just as anxious as anyone else.
But the amount of butt-hurt-ness over this Pablo cat teasing info is hilarious! Those dudes getting all in their feelings need to take a deep breath!
Anyways... Went last year for the first time. Had a blast. I grew up going to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Perdido key every summer. Proposed to my (now) wife on wednesday at the beach before Hangout last year. Hoping the lineup rocks. Getting to old to camp in the heat at 'Roo ('04, '05, '10 '11).
Praying the Sir Paul rumor has merit. Saw him in '09, amazing show. His backing band is legit as well. Pretty surreal seeing him whip out the ukelele and explain the meaning of 'Blackbird' before playing it solo.
Also hoping for hiphop acts that are actually black. Big Boi/A$AP/Kendrick/or Cudi would be great.

You people are quackin crazy if you think Bassnectar is playing a pre party.
How anybody can be happy about getting Aoki'd and have such disrespect for Bassnectar to spell his name is incorrectly is beyond me. Have you ever been to an Aoki "concert"?
I replied to this after reading page 55. So if I'm echoing somebody, I apologize.
Big G played it last year, and the fest is bigger now. You saying Assnectar is too hetty to headliner a giant rager preparty?
For the record, no one is happy about getting Aoki. We call him Assnectar because it's true.

Not that they are releasing 5 lineups, but on the "recent news" there are 5/6 lineups from festivals that have already been released on there
All seem to be weekend after/before Hangout. This helps my speculation 0
The fest in FL though- its a little weird that they'd go from NO information at all to popping on the scene and releasing a lineup in one day...I feel like new fests at least create a facebook to create buzz since they're new. Not impossible though- and I'd enjoy a new SE festival
Waiting is boring, so I'm posting a wishlist, just to pass the time. (Plenty of these are not based in fact so don't get crazy on me. It's a wishlist after all).

So EFF just dropped their lineup.... looks like Hangout is the last major festival in the early portions of the summer besides roo that hasn't announced artists

First Stopover Date for Mumford = July 19th and 20th in Southern England sooo the other dates are after? meaning still room for Hangout prior?
The only reason I care about Mum dropping their dates is in hopes that HO releases something with them- if in fact they're headlining I see it happening. Its super farfetched. I honestly don't care if Mum is there or not (I'd probably prefer them not to be there--at least not as a headliner) but thats just my opinion!
well guys you can rule out Rich Aucoin rich aucoin @richaucoin need to sit this one out MT“@jasholder: @richaucoin you're going to be @hangoutfest this year. Most fun I've had there the past 2 years”
We're not getting a lineup today. Time to CM Punk again. GTS. 'Bout ready to hop on that Outside Lands train.
I don't think anyone really wants Mum to headline- it was just a huge rumor a few weeks back, and a ton were "confirming it" (we see how far that has gone)

Yes, Bassnectar is MUCH bigger than 2012 Big G.
Is this really news to anybody?
Honestly I don't see Bassnectar (or PL) playing HO this year (apparently that's good news to you). The only spot he really fits is STS9/Shpongle spot.
And not liking Bassnectar is reasonable, he's not for everybody. You're not allowed to like Aoki and disrespect Bassnectar. lol.

As much as I want to be bailed out for missing out on The XX tickets in FL, they are not playing Hangout. They're in Prague, Berlin and Amsterdam on the 16th, 18th and 20th.
I'm pretty positive nobody likes Aoki either, also if the Sgt wants to disrespect bassnectar, well, hes the sarge, so he can do that
But I do like bassnectar (more for him as a person than his music- I have outgrown EDM) so I don't want to drag out a forum fight
I was more shocked by the liking Aoki paired with not liking Bassnectar. I too have basically outgrown EDM. Only seeing Bassnectar/PL when I get the chance.
