Come on EAP you know that's not true. Read the comments. All that was said is that nodepression finds grown men talking about how much they party is lame. Neither he nor Juggs said anything about Jess's parenting skills.
And I didn't even mention Jess having kids. I was yelling at him for driving around giving beer to homeless people.

Exactly Jeff I took as a slight that I was too immature to be a parent because I talk about liking to party. This is exactly what he said and I am pretty sure it is exactly what he meant. I must have skipped that page in the parenting manual that says you are not allowed to discuss your social life with people on the internet while you are a parent.

Jess, speaking to you directly now. I do not think you're a bad parent, I have no idea of your circumstances at all. I am a blank slate concerning all knowledge of your parenting skills. There is nothing on that slate, for I have no opinion.
haven't you noticed that for the most part the women on inforoo (apart from a few regular posters, which i can count on one hand probably) stay out of 98% of the arguments and threads on this board that get totally out of control in a negative way?
this is just like the bull crap with emoney, i made a few posts about why you didn't need to be upset about him being banned and it turned into i think flanzo is the worst poster ever, which wasn't even remotely what i said.
you boys can be fairly condescending, antagonistic and down right nasty sometimes. its one thing to insult someone's music taste, another to rain down your judgements on their life and life choices.
inforoo is a HUGE part of my life now, but b/c of the relationships i've formed outside it and not b/c of threads in here.

Juggs and noD said nothing like that and both have repeatedly pointed out they weren't even talking about parenting. So stop pelase.
EAP - this has nothing to do with you being a woman. This had nothing to do with juggs or Nodepression thinking they know anything about anyone's parenting skills or what makes a good parent. You were posting things that were false and completely nonsensical. More posters than myself pointed out that what you were saying was not being argued at all. So I'll thank you to not misrepresent my posts and make it seem like I was not letting you speak your mind because you're a woman. That was really insulting on your part and I feel like I was more than fair to you.

I'm really disappointed with our engagements in the Dark Knight Rises thread, so I thought I would bring it here. I don't want to shiz up what has been a really good thread so far.
Should I just not post ever in a serious manner? I deleted my account because I was disappointed with the drama and, what I felt was, an unfair nature of moderating here. I created another account because I very much like engaging many of the members here. I have not at all been confrontational to you or anyone else here since my return. So why are you ad hom'ing me constantly in that thread.

What are you talking about? You weren't voicing your opinion. You came into a discussion that had to do with jess and nodpression and started lumping Juggs into it and making it about them thinking they are better than everyone else. It came out of nowhere and quite honestly confused me.
but you still insulted me and quoting a bunch of my posts doesn't make it any different.
noD has made his judgements about my life very clear before, so pardon me if i am a little sensitive when i see him doing it to others. especially when it's none of his quacking business.

Sorry if my posts in this thread were at all unclear. I'm not involved with the NoD v. Jess situation. I don't care to comment on what you feel is the systemic sexism on this board.
I just wanted to clear up whatever is the cause for animosity in the Dark Knight thread. I didn't feel my posts justified your reaction.
the only animosity i have towards you in the dark knight thread is when you say what i have to contribute is irrelevant. especially when, for once i am on subject.
past grievances have no part in whatever you are feeling there. i already told you i'm over that shiz.

and I do not see how this is relevant to the larger discussion of a lack of biological determinism in violence in our culture
we weren't even talking about that in the first place. we were talking about whether or not we are desensitized b/c of our exposure. i said that IMO people are violent b/c they have no other ways to get done what they need to and when they see violence all the time, then they believe its an acceptable outcome.
ITM said he disagreed, violence is in our "nature". to which i responded that it is generally more in men's nature to be violent. WHICH IS TRUE.
and it IS in women's nature to be more emotional. so WHAT. that doesn't mean women can't be violent and men can't be emotional. stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason and generalizations are made b/c things GENERALLY happen to be true. its what you do with those stereotypes and generalizations after they are made. if i went around not trusting every man b/c men GENERALLY tend to be more violent, then that would be ridiculous of me.

see that's what I was wanting. I wasn't dismissing what you were saying I just didn't see the connection between your assertion that people resort to violence because they see no other way out and the biological determinist view that man= violence. and if you'd like to take the rest of the discussion back to that thread, then that might be fun and what I was hoping for
Well he's obviously mature enough to raise his kids, so its kind of ridiculous to try and tell him how irresponsible he is.
I feel like this post is interpreted as me feeling that NoD attacked Jess' parenting skills. I want to say for the record, that I do not feel that way. I do think that Juggs and especially NoD commented with the sole purpose of ragging on Jess and pissing him off, which they seem to love to do. And Jess plays into it way too much, instead of just ignoring them, and I feel these last two pages are a perfect example of that. However, I don't think NoD was calling Jess a bad parent, or criticizing his parenting skills at all.

I don't see it that way.
It breaks my heart to see everyone raging at each other in this manner. I can only contribute it to the animosity, fear, anger, and helplessness that are in the cosmic atmosphere from these shootings.
