Haha dude, ITM inflated mine to (I think) 430 a couple weeks ago, and I've been trickling down to now under 380. I get the occasional bump for being awesome, but someone is incredibly committed to their smiting. I just wish I knew why. Is it my overall behavior? A specific event? The not knowing is the worst part.
I did that. I believe it was more like 475. And it has been amusing to watch it plummet. I applaud their dedication.

OK, can we revisit banning Arnold Hand? 80% of his posts are malarkyt, and he is directly affecting the reputation of other board members by quacking with Karma points.

I was under the impression that if you do not have your Karma activated, you cannot bestow or take away Karma points to others. Perhaps I am wrong.
Also, I hope my recent surge in Karma means that someone has designs on me. And I'd like to know the answer to the above so that I can narrow down who I should start hitting on. I'd like to not spread myself too thin here.

I hope that if anyone ever decides to hit on me (yeah right) that I know I'm being hit on. It would be just like me to space out and miss the shooting star.

You can give/take away karma if your karma is disabled. I haven't been the one giving you a bunch recently, but I kinda wish I was now.

See, and I would think that anyone dumb enough to get offended or mad at anything I say would probably be too mentally impaired to actually find the "karma" button and use it properly. Kind of like how I'm amazed that the people who comment on Youtube and Yahoo articles can actually function at a high enough level to turn on their computers and type.

Also I really do think that the Avett Brothers are overrated and not that great and dont' understand why people around here get all creamy about them (and about the majority of the mediocre semi-Americana that's really popular here, see also groups like Dawes, Delta Spirit, Deer Tick, Dr. Dog, and why do all these groups start with "D"?).

To be fair, I could write a 1000 word essay on why I think Mitt Romney is the only true choice for America, and at least someone would be all "TROLL!" I am probably going to vote for the man, but only because my vote doesn't really count and I think it will be funnier this way.

For me, it's personal connection. I've gone through some shiz and was in a bad place for a bit and music from some of these acts have helped me. There are some Avett songs about heartbreak and also about positivity and self-reflection that I really enjoyed and their live show is extremely fun everytime I've seen them.
Delta Spirit and Deer Tick for me are bands I discovered when they were no-name opening acts and I've watched them get better and better, both in the studio and live. I love the old school rock and roll feel of Deer Tick and Delta Spirit's debut album was big for me and a lot of friends so when I saw them live and they blew me away I was a fan for life.
Dawes are good but I lost a lot of interest in them since I initially heard them. Solid live though. Dr. Dog hooked me with Fate and I like a lot of their psychedelic pop material and think they're an all-around good band.
Most of these bands gained popularity from their sets at Bonnaroo which is one reason a lot of people on here know/like them. For me, most of these acts have come into my life and helped get me through some tough times so I have a soft spot for them. Just because I don't understand your love of some metal acts doesn't mean that I don't think they are any good.
