Mike, Dave, Abra, and I will be in Charlotte in 2 hours. We got a bit of a late start from Knoxville. We'll be to VBGB by 5:45 hopefully... along with Siggy.
Me, Sarah, Mike D, and Siggy are getting f*cked up at the bar post MMJ. Some people got to drunk and couldn't make it out. I am not gonna call anyone out but you know who u are

More importantly....how was the show?
The show was great. Anytime you get Run Thru, Steam Engine, The Dark, and Nashville to Kentucky it is going to be a good show

I had an amazing time at MMJ though the set seemed so short. We waited in line for a beer while the first 3 songs played and then they stopped about 20 minutes early. As always, hanging out with inforooers made the night perfect

edit: re-counted 'cause I can't add, apparently!
our show was right at 2 1/2 hr. how long was it last night? i know we had a few of the longer songs. so our show could have been longer even though we had a song less on the setlist.

I wish everyone could've been there to witness Dave proclaim that MMJ is "the best live band in THE WHOLE WORLD." He was very serious and very adamant, using his arms held out to emphasize "whole world".

i did something very similar after their hangout set last year.
^ their set @ Hangout last year is what turned me into a true MMJ fan.
And I'm going to ignore Dave's borderline blasphemous comment, as it was probably a drunken stupor that caused him to temporarily forget his undying love for Radiohead. There can be two greatest bands in the world: one from this continent; one from across the pond.

And f*ck anyone that says different!
I should get more respect for what I did in webchat too.

Oh yeah, I forgot the "and fuck anyone that says different" part. ;D
My Morning Jacket is so much better than Radiohead live it really isn't even close.
I ain't found anything better out there and I've seen quite a few shows.
completely different types of shows. mmj is one of the best live rock bands. i don't even think of radiohead as a rock band anymore. they're something else altogether.

Atlanta show was amazing. I also was so surprised when they opened with Lay Low and when they played Strangulation. Wish I could have found you guys there, but I was in the lawn fully toasted. I really do like how security only hassles folks with cigarettes and not anything else, made for a really awesome time on the lawn.
This was also the first (hopefully of many) MMJ shows with this girl I'm dating. We had an absolute blast and she was probably the most excited out of our group when Cobra came on, where as I was the most excited out of our bunch for Steam Engine. Also in our group were two newbies to MMJ and the Atlanta show was their first MMJ show. Both fully converted.
This Spontaneous Curation tour is really something special. Caught them in Atlanta and thought that might have been the finest rock show I have ever attended. I never expected anyone to top the Stevie Ray Vaughan (circa 1986) or the Radiohead 2006 Bonnaroo shows that I attended, but MMJ completely blew me away on Friday night. The Atlanta/Charlotte/Raleigh three-night run should be thought of as a single unit of work, like Red Rocks night 1 & 2. The setlists were all spectacular. I need bootlegs from these 3 shows badly.
The question remains: why do so few people know about the greatest rock band in the world right now? I really mean that... they are the finest rock band in the world. This is coming from a huge Radiohead fan too...
