Idk if this is really anything but I just tried to check the Cafe Acts lineup on the Bonnaroo Page and I'm getting a "502 Bad Gateway" error message. Have they sold out?? That's what first came to my mind. ???
The payment plan cut off date was set when tickets first went on sale. This is just my opinion but I don't think it will sale out this year. It would really surprise me
It's a deeper lineup for sure, but there aren't names that stand out as big sellers in the way that past years have. Sure there's Radiohead, RHCP, Beach Boys, and Bon Iver, but the under card doesn't have names like Robert Plant, Mumford & Sons, Flaming Lips, Decemberists, Florence, Pretty Lights, or LCD Sound System. There are TONS of great artists this year who are as good or better than many of the aforementioned, but I don't believe any of them sell in the same way as artists in previous lineups have.
This year is filled with great up and comers like SBTRKT, Gary Clark Jr, and tUnE-yArDs, and some great older nostalgic bands such as Dispatch, Alice Cooper, Bad Brains, and The Roots, but they're lacking the bands that are big and in their prime.
I love this lineup, and I think it's the best since 2009, but I don't believe that if I were a casual music lover looking for a festival that I'd select Bonnaroo this year. There's a lot of bands I didn't know when the lineup dropped that I investigated as a result of already knowing I wanted to go. If this were 2008 and I was going to my first festival, I'm not so sure I'd pick Bonnaroo. I wouldn't be surprised if they sell out, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do, seems to be a toss up this year.

I'm not an IT guy but I play one on the internet. If the page was down due to maintenance you'd get a 404 or 500 error.
502 is basically saying a proxy server between you and bonnaroo.com tried to fetch some info from an upstream server and it sent back a picture of a bunny with pancakes on it's head, and it has no idea what that means, so - 500 Bad Gateway.

Ok is there anyone who is an IT guy who could possibly know what the cause is? Overloaded servers, too much traffic, maintenance? Was the page the same before when it was up last night?
So just going to Bonnaroo.com is still down. But if you do a google search, each of the sub-pages are still up. I clicked the lineup one and got right in. Not sure what this means though

My untrained laymen's understanding.
EDIT: forgot to mention where the pancakes where.
I work in IT, and this is pretty accurate. Doesn't seem to be down for maintenance, just seems like one of the proxies is down/malfunctioning.
What really makes you say that? This will be my third Roo and honestly I feel, out of the last two years, this year's lineup......so much better.
I think Bonnaroo doesn't sell as quickly for a lot of different reasons, and I feel the lineup has little to do with it.
First, the location. In the middle of nowhere. Unlike Lollapalooza or ACL where you can not only enjoy the festival, but enjoy the city in which it's held also, which I'm sure attracts a lot of casual music fans to those fests. Bonnaroo is a good hour away from nashville, so you can't really walk out of the festival and enjoy the surroundings. I don't know much about Coachellas exact location, but it's Cali, so still.
The length of the festival and what you deal with to partake in it I'm sure also keep done people away. For days instead of three with no single day tickets. As well as the fact that your dealing with a lot of dirt/mud, and the grounds seem to be smack dab in the middle of a naturally made frying pan.
I think all these things effect ticket sales more than the lineup. Bonaroo is not for whiners.
