The fact that the Rolling Stones camp never refuted the rumors is a pretty telling sign. The last couple of times there was Coachella chatter they shot it down right away. I don't think the polo ball posting means much.
Well....
The Rolling Stones have been a heavy favorite for Coachella 2013, especially after the Indio, CA festival was briefly listed in the Tour section of the band’s mobile app.
However, in a new interview with RollingStone.com which took place in late December, Mick Jagger claimed that the band has yet to be approached by Coachella organizers. He also swore no knowledge of why the Coachella listing appeared on their mobile app. Jagger added, “I always said that we’d see how this would go,” referring to the band’s recent string of 50th anniversary concerts, “then we’d think about doing more – or not.”
Discussing their 2013 tour plans in general, Jagger said, “There have been quite a few offers. I’m going to see what’s on the table and discuss it with everyone. We’ll announce it when we’ve figured it out.”
Coachella 2013 takes place over two weekends from April 12th-14th and April 19th-21st at Indio’s Empire Polo Grounds. Several acts have already self-confirmed appearances at the festival, including Rodriguez, Father John Misty, Paul Kalkbrenner, Kill the Noise, Hardwell, Bingo Players, Dirty Bird Plays Club.
Other likely acts (based on tour schedules) include Sigur Rós, Passion Pit, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Beach House, Tegan and Sara, Stars, and Local Natives. Stay tuned to Festival Outlook for additional updates.

Hate to just post for a summary and not read....but I will. Any news here? I've been overseas for a month with just my phone to surf the Internet. I'll be back late Tuesday night, but I'm curious if there's any substantial rumors here. I've read the CoS page, but I'm always (well beyond) hesitant to blindly trust them. Anything worth reporting here?

Yeah, I don't look at Mick's response as a denial, but more as a way to try to deflect. They have been very forward about saying "We are not playing" in the past. It sounds like they were trying to cloud up the rumors a little.
Also, as someone who reads both this and Coachella's board, I still have no idea where these stupid RHCP rumors came from. Why does everyone think they are playing?
My guess is that we are still a couple of weeks away from an announcement guys. We usually get some sort of indication that an announcement is coming.
The RHCP rumors are coming from a quote from someone in the band saying they planned on doing dates through April 2013, so people are speculating that this means they plan to end their current tour at Coachella.

Lineup will definitely be out Monday/Tuesday (either this week or next) with the tix going onsale Friday at noon. Just like every year.
In 2010 it was released around Tuesday at 10 AM. The last two years have been at night either through Twitter or Facebook. They only posted a few videos in 2011 starting a couple of weeks before the release. One was Fanfarlo who didn't actually end up appearing that year.
Anyways. Yes, soon. Not on the payment plan? I'd suggest you have your money ready NOW!!!

Outkast would make sense this year more than any other, considering Andre 3000 and Big Boi are finally doing a track together again for the first time in years. Not impossible, I'd say more realistic than Daft Punk.
Upcoming shows:
4/18 - Zeds Dead
4/27 - STS9
4/30 - Suicidal Tendencies
5/1 - The Black Crowes
5/2 - A Day to Remember
5/3 - Smashing Pumpkins

I've had this vision where Big Boi is playing Coachella and at the end of the set Dre comes out and they do 3 or 4 Outkast songs. It's probably just wishful thinking.

They aren't really doing a track together. Big Boi is adding a verse to a song that already featured Andre 3000. Daft Punk is way more realist in my opinion.
"I'm Paul Tollet's secretary's roomate...I was using her computer to check my email while she was asleep and have the lineup in front of me. No Daft, No Stones. RHCP, Phoenix/YYY and Outkast are headlining. The Knife, The xx, Stone Roses, Deadmau5, and Atoms for Peace are subbing. A lot of cheese but a lot of tech house and techno as well so everyone should be happy. Honestly the headliners aren't amazing but top to bottom maybe the best lineup I've ever seen."
As far a malarky rumors go it's a good one, little bit expected, little bit surprising, type of thing you WANT to believe but not unbelievable. Don't think and Outkast show is happening, but it's not totally insane. Big Boi talks Andre into doing 2 shows for a whole buttload of money, then the publicity is golden for the rest of Big Boi's tour.

That's from an anonymous post on monk's blog. If that's where it's coming from it definitely ain't happening.
Edit: Every other post on that blog is someone claiming to be "in the know". Always just random, midnight gibberish.
