Woke up to this line up. Some interesting stuff, wish we could get Sigur Ros again. Do RHCP have broader appeal in Cali as native sons or are they just stuck with them?
Stuck. Nobody wants that shiz.
They were Lolla headliners last year and I couldnt believe how many people were there seeing the show. It was fine. It was my friend's one must see so I went too.

Somebody does, just not people on boards.
I actually went and sat through them at Roo last year and regret it. I'm not a huge fan of their work but usually live experiences increase my enjoyment. If I'd known how they were live I'd have skipped them altogether.
Oh come on. You don't think GV loved putting a contemporary band that's played the festival a couple of times in the headliner slot when they have a new album coming out around the time of the festival? That played arenas the last time they toured the states and brought out (sorry) Daft Punk at MSG?
Phoenix has graduated guys, they're not playing That Tent in a 45 minute slot before Crystal Castles ever again.
But that show was awesome. I'm glad that I left Phish early to see that.
God, Love Like a Sunset Pt.1 > Love Like a Sunset Pt.2 is just stellar.
I'm now really excited to see Phoenix. I think they'll be a blast. I really hope they don't have someone conflicting with them that I really want to see, though if I had to guess I'd imagine Sigur Ros and/or Hot Chip will.
If their new album is even close to as catchy as their others people are going to be riding major buzz into that set.

One of my favorite Bonnaroo shows ever. I was there.

It's a stellar lineup on paper.
Factor in how much it's going to cost to get to Cali (from the east coast) + the coach pass + gear + spending money, it doesn't look nearly as appealing.

This is where I'm at with the whole deal. I already have flights but those can easily be transferred for Roo which will save me a 12 hour drive. There's tons of stuff to see everyday and surely lots of new stuff that I'll regret missing later. But since I wasn't initially wowed, I should probably be responsible here and save my money. Least there's still time to buy Coach tix if it does come to that.
The amount of people on Facebook and Twitter who claim they are selling their tickets because there's no Skrillex, Deadmau5, etc. only proves to me that GV knew what they were doing.
Those people better go wikipedia Dog Blood before they sell their tix. They can easily become Skrillified real quick. Just saying.

Also, the tickets left for purchase are either GA + Shuttle passes or GA + Camping. Estimates are that there's MAYBE 24K tickets left total. They sold between 130K-140K in the presale. That's just insane.
That's insane. The aftermarket is going to be crazy this year. Great news for stubhub.
Honestly, I feel a little bad for the bros. Coachella totally pulled the rug out from under them as far as mainstream EDM is concerned. It's a little weird to me to sell 80% of your tickets, then completely change one element of your lineup.

Hi gang, how are you this year? Well the lineup for Coachella didn't blow me away but for me Coachella is like The Roo. I love big name killer headliners, to the end, it really doesn't matter (LP). See you at Coachellla, and the Roo, and Waka of course......cr****

I definitely think that Goldenvoice has a Fall - EDM - Brochella in the works.
I'm surprised they didn't also book Skrillex and Boys Noize for solo sets as well to keep the bros at bay. Interested to see how fast this thing sells out.
