Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Chris went to Nashville Vapor and got a two pack and three liquids for about $80 he said
Sent from my SCH-I545 using proboards
So how are you liking it?!
It's a change, for sure. I think I like it... just going to take some getting used to. I finished my last pack this weekend and am hoping to not buy any more. Should be able to do it if I can get the hang of the vape. It's more of a mental block for me I think... Breaking habits and such.

I use my Vaporizer almost exclusively now except when I am drinking, or out partying. My goal is to be off the real ones by Nov 1st. I am going to try and make Hulaween without any real ones at all.
Made it over 24 hrs which is better than my last several attempts, only going a little crazy Things seem much more promising this time around too though. A few little side effects I didn't expect just keeps things interesting though
Anyone else wanna join me??

I first quit smoking in June '08 (inspired to do so during my first Roo), after having smoked for the previous seven years. I've had a few hiccups here and there, and did some pretty heavy social smoking for the first year or so, but I've been *mostly* quit since.
Fast forward to early this year, and I'm doing a lot of social smoking again, and I'm also under a lot of stress, *and* I'm hanging out with way more Europeans; next thing I know, I'm back to old habits. That lasts on and off from about February to August, when I decide to nip it in the bud before it gets any worse.
Now, the first time I quit, I actually didn't think the first few days were as bad as everyone says - but from about day 5 to the end of week 4 or so, it was awful. Then about 2-3 months later, I had a sudden spike in my cravings, caved and bought a pack. That was roughly the timeframe for quitting this time, too - and right now, I'm in that 2-3 month spot. I spent most of the day yesterday fighting the urge to splurge on a pack, and today's not going much better. About the only thing stopping me is the quacking ridiculously high cost of smokes here (think $16-18 a pack). Anyone got any tips on beating the cravings? I'm thinking of picking up an e-cig while I'm in the Cross today.

Things didn't start off as well as I hoped a couple weeks ago, but giving it another go (On my third attempt in 2 weeks). It's been just over 4 full days since my last one. I started smoking in 1997 and by 2001 I was close to a pack a day. Started college in 2002 and I wasn't smoking less by any means. I have been a solid pack a day smoker for over a full decade. My dad was raised on tobacco farms and just started smoking regularly again at 65 yrs old (he has on and off his whole life), my mom has pretty much always smoked around us, most family and family friends have a several smokers in the house, just about all of the folks I hang around with, both on and off inforoo, are smokers. Smoking has just been in my house and life literally as long as I remember. In 1997 they were around $2 a pack, today they are just a hair above $5 (you can find average prices by year pretty easily). I did the math and found that I have spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $15-17,000 on cigs since I graduated high school. FifteenThousandDollars Something to think about for sure!! Hey tobacco companies . . . .
I have made some pushes to cut back/quit this year, that always sounds great, but I am realizing that it doesn't really do anything The three biggest changes I have seen even in these past few days are how much better I can smell, how much better food tastes and how well I am sleeping. I used to think if I had a window open you couldn't smell the smoke on me after 5-10 minutes or so. Last night was my first night out to a bar and even though it was no smoking inside, I was amazed and how bad the smokers smelled. I rode with someone out there, a smoker, who didn't know until later in the evening that I was quitting. Windows were down in the car, but as soon as that lighter hit the cigarette it was awful. I know I am still used to the smoke and all, but I really couldn't think of how many times I did that to so many other people (ok that smiley isn't dead on, but close enough to get the point across) It also made me realize just how crappy it is for folks to do that to kids either in the car or the house - my mom did that for years to be honest. My truck smells like crap now, as do the rooms in my house I used to smoke in, pretty much all of my coats/jackets, hats, everything . . . . well okay, they always have, I just didn't realize it til this week.
I have had some shakes and cold chill spells, it's been on my mind almost nonstop. I have had some mild cold sweats on occasion. A bit of nausea and twists in my stomach, it seemed to throw my whole digestive system off too. A lot of anxiety as well and I know that just smoking another one will make all that go away. I honestly went through a few things that I thought only heroine, crack, meth or alcohol addicts went through. I never once really thought of cigarettes as a drug. Cigarettes have been my crutch for over half of my life. As much as I enjoy groups and parties and all that, they often make me nervous/anxious as hell, I could always get out of a situation by just going out for a smoke. Like just about every other smoker out there I would tell myself it would calm my nerves if I got stressed, when something bad happened it was always I need a cigarette time I am realizing now that none of that is really the case.
Quitting sucks you will have times when you feel like crap and times you will be absolutely miserable, but it can be done. I am not going to put everything up on here, but if you are really wanting to quit and need someone in the same boat to talk to about it, feel to PM me. It's not easy, it's not glamorous, but it can be done and a little and motivation can go a long way. I kept thinking of the video custeph posted that video that let me know someone else out there was supporting me and yes I can do it, and a big thanks to bonzai too for all your efforts . . . Yall both rock

guess I am chasing luva then, although I kinda hope you keep it up and don't let me win
All you (and Luvaluva) just need to do is set a personal best streak and keep on rolling with it. However long you've gone at the most without a cigarette, just try and reach that point. Then go day by day, keep on slowly building a monster streak - one that just ends up infinite at some point, we all hope.
