I'm with Sangreal, there are a bunch of tent and stage acts still coming.
There must have been a change in the marketing department at AC. I don't think we typically have this many open slots (non cafe) heading into April. Potentially, they are going to throw us some enticing adds on the back end to boots last minute sales. Maybe just wishful thinking, but they still have at least 15 slots to fill.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
They killed it with the comedy this year. I too am hoping for another round of tent/stage additions but with the comedy out I'm beginning to think we won't get a lot more other than cafe. Hoping I'm wrong on this.
The only 89 acts so far figure is encouraging, but I'm trying to be realistic. We shall see!

Do you think bands will be given bigger time slots then? I mean, obviously something has to be different if there are 17 less bands this year than last year. Either there are more to come, the time slots will be different, sets will start later, end earlier, something.
I think if there is another add, it might well come right before or after Lolla's announcement to try and steal some of their thunder.
It says right there on the website that more will be announced soon. I'm sure they would take that down if they didn't mean it. And I don't think they're talking about cafe acts either. I think they're just changing up the way they do things this year.

Maybe they are cutting back on some of the main stage acts by giving Phish two 6 hour sets.
I am ready for some more adds, at least some cafe acts. In '10 i saw almost half of my shows at Troo lounge. I really hope they raise the stage and bring back the chairs and shade for that stage. I stood on top of a picnic table to see Gary Clark Jr last year. Plus, the extension chords they had for the string lights were great for charging your phone.

That's one thing I thought of. We could have longer late night sets (with more acts playing during the day). Or they could just pad the timeslots a bit longer than they normally would. Not sure. I'm still holding out the tiniest of hope for Jack White but I'm happy with the lineup as it is so I'm accepting that there will be no more stage additions.
If there are.....then that's more icing on the cake
i think we're missing a themed/curated tent so that will add 5-6 bands, a few more smaller bands for thur (3-4). and 5-6 more for the main stages.
Fuck you for putting the thought in my head of a Jack White stage. Jack White curates and then picks some artists he's worked with (John C. Reilly, Jeff the Brotherhood, Alabama Shakes, The Black Belles, Reggie Watts, etc.) to play that stage.
THAT would be amazing. A Third Man Records stage curated by Jack White.

I feel like Roo already gives really long time slots to most artists, especially in comparison to other fests, so I'm not sure that all the bands would be able to utilize that extra time. When I see a show at Roo I feel like I'm getting most of what you'd get at that band's solo show (at least in terms of the number of songs played). Obviously some bands it would be fun to have that extra time with, but for the most part I feel Roo has hit a sweet spot in terms of time allotted to maximize good length sets in conjunction with seeing a lot of different shows in a day.

im with everyone else saying that we will see some bigger acts still added. I dont think we will see huge acts but deffinatly some house hold names that will make the majority happy.
With that said, Jack White is still my holy grail to make this the best bonnaroo to this day.
I think that if bonnaroo was talking about cafe acts when they say more artists to come, they would have stated that it is cafe acts. But then again, bonnaroo likes to be a cock tease a lot of the time.
I guess we'll see.... But man, I am so over waiting!
YES!!! they were like the best band last year, both sets of theirs were AMAAAAZZZIINNG!!!! I was soooo happy they scheduled mumford and sons at the same time, was able to dance like crazy and stand wherever i wanted to during their main set!! although it was a bit difficult getting through that crowd of mumford fans from wiz lol
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
The theatrical avant-pop band this month played for the first time at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, and in June will debut at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tenn.

Rubblebucket is awesome. Saw them last summer at Floydfest and really enjoyed the show. I would think they wouldn't be a cafe act based on their recent "surge" in popularity, but I wouldn't be totally surprised if they were.
