Murphy and Mahoney are also doing Special Disco Version at Governors Ball Festival later in June.. A Bonnaroo add would be awesome, just because I don't really look forward to seeing him during the daytime at Gov Ball
5/11/13: Sweetlife Festival
5/16/13: The Flaming Lips
5/20/13: Fitz and the Tantrums
6/7-6/9: Governors Ball
6/13-6/16: Bonnaroo
6/21-23: Firefly (???)
7/11-13 Camp Bisco
8/31-9/1: Made In America
9/27-29 Tomorrowworld (???)
^ I think two from this list is possible. Cage the Elephant is probable. I really want EV but don't think that is happening. Lanegan would be cool. Is Brad even touring in 2012?
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

anyone else see the response to all the "WTF no Daft Punk?" backlash after Spring Awakening Music Festival announced their line-up? They just posted "This is phase 1 of the announcement. More amazing acts coming...." Wow... they are going to look like summers breeze in a sacs if Daft Punk isn't added. What do you think that means for their chances though?

I'm well aware that this question doesn't belong in this thread but I have no idea where else to post it. Does anyone know when the Bonnaroo mobile app will be updated for 2012?
What are the chances of grabbing this new iteration of Phil and Friends? I REALLY want to see it! I think P+F is better than Furthur. I hear the shows on Pandora and the rock. Any band with Warren and Joe Russo is boss if you ask me.
April 11 - The Black Crowes
May 4 - Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite
May 12 - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
May 15 - Vampire Weekend
May 18 - Charles Bradley
June 13-16 - Bonnaroo
July 20 - Bob Dylan, Wilco, and My Morning Jacket
September 18 - Jake Bugg
September 21-22 - Life Is Good Festival
My attempt at humor. It is pretty corny. But jugg is an jerkstore and I'm bored. anyone feel free to edit and revisit.
It's not corny, it's just not funny. Trying to make fun of someone by calling them a "forum tough guy" when you yourself spend most of your time trolling an internet forum is so ironic that it immediately becomes post ironic and therefore completely sincere. Like, I read your post as a cry for help - you so clearly are desperately seeking attention, approval, and validation that you troll every thread you go into. I truly wonder for and worry about your state of mind. It's about as terrifying as that move, "What Dreams May Come."

I caught their run in Broomfield, CO last weekend. AMAZING. Scofield was on fire, Haynes (as always) blew me away, Phil was dropping bombs, and Russo kept it tight. Way better than any of the Furthur shows I've attended. I'm praying they get added now. It's always good to pay a little homage to the fathers of the scene...

Wait - John Scofield is playing with Phil Lesh? Damn.
For what it's worth, I've always felt that out of the many post-GD groups, Phil & Friends was usually the best. They do the best job at playing classic GD material but putting their own spin on it. Never a fan of Bobby/Ratdog, "the Dead" just kind of never resonated, neither did "Furthur," though the Other Ones show I saw in 1998 was really good.
Can someone explain to me the difference between "the Dead" and "Furthur" and "the Other Ones?" If I recall, "the Dead" is just the GD minus Jerry, right? But they've also used other people (Jackie Greene, Joan Osborne)? "Furthur" is...what? I know "the Other Ones" was most of the Dead minus Kreutzmann, + Hornsby, right?
