i'm really stoked for this. like someone else already said, luda is someone i wouldn't pay to see by himself, but being able to see him at bonnaroo is gonna be pretty awesome, as long as he doesn't do much after the red light district.

Hopefully he'll take a page from Metallica and play only the good stuff. I remember all the talk in 2008 about people hating on Metallica for their recent albums and feared they would only play St. Anger tracks...Boy did they prove them wrong!

For the record, I don't think he'll be late night Which. I'd expect more to see him either in a tent late night, or on a stage during the day a la Wiz Khalifa or Snoop Dogg.
What a wonderful surprise to see him. The 18 year old in me who listened to Luda every time he drove the two hours to go mow his grandma's lawn is feeling pretty happy. If this is late night it's going to be an awesome party. Girls, maybe y'all should have a competition and see how many of the inforoo ladies can get pregnant by the same rapper in one weekend.
"In the darkness hundreds of glowsticks streaked the air like tracer shots in war. Giant inflatables bounced over dozens of light sabers pointed skyward. Stuffed animals impaled on sticks danced above the hot crowds, puppeted by someone just given ecstasy by a friend made seconds before."
Just got off the phone with my plastic surgeon. He thinks it's possible we can get a uterus up in me. I'm going to go with impregnation by Mac Miller, just because that dude is so hideous. Going to try see if this can happen on stage during Ludacris. Looking y'all in the eyes as I'm on all fours during the act, in addition to using the Catholic method of natural family planning, will help my fertility percentages go up.
I am hating myself right now for not having any Luda albums on my ipod. I think all my old CDs are in the trunk of my car, so I'm going to dig through that when I get home tonight.

This is what I'm thinking. I see him during the day. He's one of those artists that seems too big for a LN tent but not big enough for LN Which.
Very pleasantly surprised that this is our main rap act.
One big reason why:
This was taken in late 2004. I won a contest on a radio station that allowed me to go to a recording studio in NYC, meet Ludacris and Sum 41 (who were performing together on SNL that week) while they were recording the "rock remix" of 'Get Back'.
Looks like (from Luda's shirt) this video was taken in that studio session. Luda signed my shirt and took this picture with my brother and I. We met Sum 41 and they all signed our copy of "Chuck" which we also won via the contest.
April 12-14th - Indio, CA - Coachella Weekend 1
May 3-5th - Memphis, TN - Beale St. Music Festival
June 13-16th - Manchester, TN - Bonnaroo
July 12-14th - Louisville, KY - Forecastle Festival
August 2-4th - Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
September 27-29th - Atlanta, GA - TomorrowWorld
October 25-27th - Asheville, NC - Mountain Oasis
Luda is legit. Really deep collection of great songs. His last album and recent features turn off some, but I'm confident he can still bring it live, its been almost 10 years since I've seen him, which is really weird to say (damn I'm getting old).

HIT BY STARS, HIT BY CARS< DRUNK OFF THE LIQUOR GETTIN' HIT BY BARS
Luda is one of those rap acts where, if you don't like him, I think there's something wrong with you. He's got a great voice, good flow, has reasonably intelligent/witty punchlines, and he clearly doesn't take himself too seriously. He's "commercial," but only because his music is popular, not because he panders to any commercial/mainstream audience. I feel like if you don't enjoy Ludacris, you probably don't like fun.
