Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
It's that time of the year again for all you artsy fartsy types out there to submit your design for this year's T-Shirt contest.
You all know the deal, post your design, I will keep them updated on this OP, and after a given amount of time, we will vote for a winner.
Some things to keep in mind:
1. Last year's design did not tranfer well to the T's. I think this was due to the lettering on the design being so small and the image of the design was a very small resolution file.
2. You can not use any copywritten image, phrase or material from anyone, including Bonnaroo.
3. No profanity or NSFW images.
4. Must incoporate "Inforoo 2012" into the design.

I would love to help out here if I can if it be with a shirt or logo. I meant to do one last year just did not have the time. Ill get on one when the lineup comes out, maybe sooner... or later...
Yay! I love to see what designs the inforoo clan comes up with.
In regards to who we use to print, Im just not a fan of the quality of cafepress. (The printing or the shirts.) I hear good things about vistaprint but I cant confirm if their quality is better

Well I think the best solution is to pick a winner early enough that we can get a test print. Order one t-shirt and see how it looks and then make the big order.

If that's the case, we probably can't do it.
Since we're all spread out across the country, the logistics of fronting the money, ordering, shipping shirts out (or even transporting them to roo) and collecting money for them is too complicated.

I would be amused if someone would make a tshirt with a rooster on it that quacks. (Quacks as in the sound a duck makes, not quack as in the expletive.)

What about coming up with a design and contacting someone from Etsy who does screen printing? They could list them in their etsy store and do all the shipping while making a couple bucks for themselves.

I have no computer skills or I would try.
What about a duck quack rooster on front and quack quack rooster on back.

The problem last year wasn't with the image size nor cafepress. It was that the image was created in a raster format in RGB colors... i.e. suitable for web publishing, not print. If you're going to enter this contest, do not use photoshop or gIMP. Use Illustrator or Inkscape, CMYK.
Also, any chance of convincing you to submit the tree design from last year? I want a tee of that.
Probably not, cafepress just uses plain ole inkjets, they don't even separate colors. And that design from last year belongs to Matt's Trees now, which is why I took it out of the contest before it ended.

Well make sure to get an entry in this time. Your design was great last year.

If you have any other helpful guidelines for everyone please share them. I'm sure they'd be appreciated

Thank you, but I'm backed up with payin' gigs and gallery deadlines til mid-May. If any of y'all would like the design from last year, talk to Judy or Lauren Sloan. I sent them press-ready stuff about a year ago, but haven't heard if they actually went to print or not.
