I dunno, I actually don't love this year for electronic music. Nothing's really jumping out at me. Even that Vynehall record is a distant second to Music for the Uninvited. Also, maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's rare that you get many great electronic "albums" in a year. The best stuff is usually EPs and singles.
I only knew half those people but I'm also a pleb so that's not saying much.

Marconi Union - ghost stations came out a couple weeks ago and it is pretty great if you are into contemplative ambient soundscapes. think nils frahm or the max richter sleep album. that and the new late night tales with sasha are great for, well, late night listening.

Going up to Chicago for the Cubs Series' weekend and Saturday of Freaky Deaky. Schedule has Kill Frenzy -> Brodinski -> MK -> Claptone -> DUBFIRE FUQQN LIVE HYBRID (hour n a half set). I'm ecstatic.

That's my exact plan too. I've never listened to kill frenzy though, worth checking out? I just planned on getting there right before brodinski or seeing makonnen.

Kill Frenzy is great. Signed to Dirtybird so if you enjoy Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, J Phlip, Ardalan, etc. you should enjoy it. No Panties is a great song by Kill Frenzy.

Sounds like I'll have to check him out. Hopefully we get some good weather Saturday.
Dubfire Live Hybrid... holy fuck. His Terror Planet Remix made me feel like I was going mad. He left after it and Hybrid appeared on the screen. Then he came back out and did this 15 minute extended version of Exit. Bravo Dubfire, my mouth was agape for the majority of the set.
