Why? Simian Mobile Disco's live album is better than their studio stuff. Same with Underworld's "Everything, Everything." Alive 2007, Don't Think, etc. There are really good "live" electronic albums out there. Do you feel the same way about live mixes/session recordings? Don't I recall you being high on Jamie XX's Boiler Room set? How does that differ from a live album?

I knew you'd bring up "Alive." Usually it just doesn't matter I think. Like, there's really no difference between a dj set mixed from a home studio than one in front of ten thousand people. I don't need to hear crowd noise.
