Mr. Forward,
Would it be possible for me to hire you to come yell at people in my office? I had to listen to a guy yesterday tell a co-worker his insurance premiums are higher and coverage is worse all because of Obama's health care bill and Newt is awesome for jumping the debate moderator for bringing up his ex-wife's allegations. He's a walking Fox News robot.
I've seen the man before, heard one his speeches in New Hampshire.
He's quacking awful. Two faced liar. Front man of the 1%. I don't hate Gingrich anywhere near as much as Gov. Smug. Massachusetts has done better without him than with him.
Thats the wonderful thing about politics . . . pretty much every candidate falls under that description if you take out a specific state and your opinion on the 1%
Since you don't have me friended on Facebook, here's my summary as I've said numerous times on Facebook.
Romney = asshole #1 Gingrich = asshole #3 Santorum = the Dan Savage given definition Paul = Abe Simpson Obama = second coming of Ronald Reagan
Quite frankly, I don't like any of them. Luckily for me, I'm in a state where voting for President doesn't matter. For a little while, I was pissed off at MikeD for suggesting he was going to vote Romney - but I thought about it, and MikeD lives in a state where voting for President doesn't matter either.
If you're in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Missouri, and maybe one or two other states - voting for president matters. In which case, go for the far lesser of two evils in my mind in Obama. (Again, not a huge fan of his - but compared to Romney it's the far better option.)
Since I live in a reliably blue state and nothing is going to change that - I can do things like vote for Jill Stein. That's much more of a statement vote than getting in line like everyone else on both major sides.
I actually met Jill Stein two weeks ago in DC, after also seeing her in Manchester NH briefly. She's definitely got an interesting and refreshing platform, but of course I'm also heavily biased (and this was before the Occupy thing got going.)

You cannot hire me to "come yell at people." Now, if you want someone to make factual statements and rational arguments while maintaining a calm demeanor and decorum of respect while the other party in the conversation gets closer and closer to blowing their stack... then we might be able to work something out.
Basically, Romney's camp is saying that voter turnout is lower because people like him and are staying home because his nomination is pretty much secured.
I feel that if Republicans don't nominate Romney, they are totally off their rocker. He is clearly the only Republican candidate that can compete with Obama in the General Election. The other Republican candidate's beliefs are way too extreme to win over the Independent voters, imo.
I've already mad up my mind that I am not voting in this election. Obama and Romney are the same person working towards the same goal and I don't want to call either one of them my President.
There hasn't been a good candidate win the primaries in my lifetime, and Ron Paul is the last honest man we will ever see run.

If you don't vote then you have no right to complain about the state of of our country. You can always write in Ron Paul if he is who you want to vote for
If you honestly think that Obama and Romney are the same then you're really not paying enough attention. Obama hasn't lived up to the lofty expectations set in 2008, but to say their platforms are the same is ludicrous.
The Democrats will send you to hell and steal half your money while doing it. The Republicans will send you to hell also, but spit in your face and steal all your money while doing it.
Romney is the whore of criminal bankers. If you aren't Wall Street scum or making money off money - you have no reason to pick him.
Cthulhu 2012... why vote for the bigger of two evils?
Romney will win the nomination and Obama will win the general election. That's how things are looking at this point.
Obama's shortcomings are stemming more from a republican congress that refuses to cooperate with him. And the republican propaganda (fox news) is striving to make everyone think the lack of forward progress is the President's fault. They think they can win the election by telling everyone, Obama hasn't done sh*t and is a terrible president, when congress just pins him against a wall everytime he proposes or vetoes something. The GOP is about to nominate someone that no one in the middle or lower class can trust or relate to (the vast majority of voters). He's running on the notion that "hey I'm a successful businessman I can fix this mess", but the Wall Street tycoons are the ones everyone is pissed at right now. And has he really proposed any ideas or solutions apart from just stating what bills he has supported or opposed in the past and what his stances are on certain issues? To me he has not yet proposed any plan or process on the dire issue of jobs and the deficit to make me trust that he is a good candidate.
Add to that the fact that the economy has recently gone up to the highest its been since the initial crash in 2008. Is the republican congress going to try and take credit for that?
If you want Obama for another four years, vote the democrats back in congress so at least we won't be in gridlock anymore. This democrats VS republicans war is so f*cking stupid and insane with the issues at hand.
If you don't vote then you have no right to complain about the state of of our country. You can always write in Ron Paul if he is who you want to vote for
"I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain,' but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created."

Not everyone votes for the person who wins. If you do not vote you did not do your part in helping to elect the candidate that you believe should run our country or represent you district or state. A person can vote for whoever they wish. You can write in an independent candidate if that is who you want to vote for. Your logic behind not voting is is exactly what is wrong with our country. The fact that you think you do not help create the mess by not voting is ridiculous.. If the people do not act how can you expect your government to. Take the 2000 election, it was idiots like you that stay at home with your childish and immature opinions about voting that allowed Bush to win Florida. So when look at the mess we are in and look for someone to blame, you need to only look in the mirror.
How about some Indepent Candidates like the Green Party or Libertarians? We are not giving them any press at all on here. It is sad that we are ignoring candidates like CNN, FOX (BOO), ABC, etc. Who are these overlooked candidates that we are ignoring? Let us pretend they are like some raging group shoved in a beer tent in Centeroo and overlooked! Like that time I saw K'Naan in a Budweiser tent. Something great and undiscovered!

Would just like to point out you managed to go off about being "childish and immature" and then call someone an idiot on an internet message board for having an opposing view. All in one post
Stop the name calling. Grown ups and mature humans can have a political discussion without resorting to that.
I will vote when there is an honest candidate to vote for. Do not see that happening in time for this election. I can still complain all I want, and call for changes that may actually help an honest candidate have a chance someday. Nobody can tell me when I do or do not have a right to complain.
I have the "Professor Test" that I like to use to rate candidates.
Meaning, if this guy was my professor would I a) think I was smarter than him (the answer is Yes in all cases but Paul), and b) would they be able to hold my attention for more than 3 minutes before I start getting bored (Santorum passes this test on the pure insanity of his ideology).
I don't think I should look at my President and think "that guy's not too bright." Bush was smart, he was just a poor public speaker. These guys are all good public speakers, but not very bright (except Paul, who by the product of being on this Earth since Christ, knows a lot, and Newt, who is evil incarnate).
And if you can't hold my attention for very long, I doubt you'll hold the attention of people who need to pay attention to you (like congressmen, etc.). Half those guys are going to hate you, so they'll want to ignore you anyway, and the other half are really old and/or hungover.

I agree that resorting to name calling is unnecessary, but i agree with his point about not voting. The freedom to choose is the most sacred right we have. It just doesn't seem right not to use it.

The right to choose would also encompass choosing to vote as well as choosing to not vote. So it's not like freedom to choose only extends to not voting.
