As if this concert run isn't costing me enough money for a ticket each night, and the drive to and from Orlando
I'm going to need to buy at least one shirt, and at least one event poster (but to be realistic I'll probably need to buy a poster for each night) quack those ridiculous prices. But I guess I don't mind supporting one of my favorite artists.
Ps if you can't read the prices its $40 a shirt, $50 for the white event shirt. And I don't see a price on the poster but was told they run $30
For some reason, the one band shirt I own that gets me the most weird looks and comments is my Tool shirt. So yea, I'll be needing one of those pricey things.
Does the artist even see any money from the sale of merch?
crazy indeed. now if it's different songs every night we might have something here.
They played the exact same set last night (as expected, but I was still holding out hope that they would change it up every night)
not surprising. they have been doing this same set every night crap since 06. at least they brought back some old songs for this one. the last few tours had been pretty much the same. they would take time off and still come back with the same setlist.

As much as a I love lateralus and (to a lesser extent) 10,000 days, I'm really glad to see them going back to some Aenema material. It's overall probably my favorite album, and I think it will make for an amazing live show.
A week from tomorrow I'll be in Toledo just about ready to soak all of this in. 2nd Tool show. I'm all giddy like a little girl after reading the reviews and looking at that setlist!

Yep, T-7 days now. I know they generally stick to the same setlist for the tour, but last time they came to Toledo they busted out Third Eye. Just sayin..
third eye was on their nightly setlist last time around Made me so jealous I couldn't see them on that tour..
yea, i was going to say they don't just break stuff out anymore.
I know, I alluded to that in my post, but in 02 when they last played in Toledo Third Eye had only been played once or twice since they stopped touring Aenima, so "just sayin" that Tool busting something out in Toledo isn't unprecedented.
I didn't follow the setlists for their last tour though, didn't know it was a regular. They might want to give it a rest.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Any ideas on where to meet to eat and drink before the show? We are staying at the Hilton Garden, so anywhere between there and the arena would be good.

Fuuuuuuuck.
Getting excited as hell for the Tool concert on Tuesday, but I just got an email at work saying we have a mandatory four hour training session on Wednesday, starting at 8am. Complete with tests, so I won't be able to snooze through it.
Definitely gonna have to scale things back a little bit, but I can handle a little adversity. And I sure as hell won't care about it once I get to the show!
