With 2 goals now under Jagr's belt, can any1 say scoring title??
As a Rangers fan, let me be the first to warn you that early-season Jaromir is almost mean, when compared to the lethargic, slow, emotionless play you'll get later in the year. Playoff push or not, Jagr doesn't get amped up (ever), and will coast around the ice trying to get set up for one-timers for the entire game.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he'll go end-to-end, just powering past every opposing player, rip a rocket top-shelf and leave the whole room with that ".....whoa" feeling. Then he'll go back to being a mummy on skates.
Enjoy the Jagr experience!

Very well put, it's like watching Alexi Kovalev
I have respect for Jagr because he still can be a dominate hockey player and he's obviously in the top 5 best players of all time. But at this age he'll help contribute but at random times.
Wow, not sure where that Habs team has been hiding but it would be nice if that team would show up tonight in Boston. I guess Price just had to take of the pink pads.
Besides the beating the leafs gave the Rnagers...did anyone catch the Mike Brown and Kris Newbury fight? Wozers!
Rock 'Em Sock 'Em
So I made it to the game last night after walking blocks around Manhattan in the rain. Got to sit in the new balcony section. The Garden looks great and the Leafs look even better.
Hank let up some weak goals but I can't blame the man for being a 1 man team. No way, not ever.
Cally got pushed in one of the disallowed goals, which could have determined the game IMO. These refs have to stop being pussies and calling ridiculous calls, (Dubi's slash and "spraying the goalie) Shanny needs to remember what a tough player he was.
But that fight was ridiculous, one of the best of the year so far. I'm still not worried about the Rangers though, things will pick up Gabby is playing well, Richards is bound to acclimate to his new surroundings and he needs to rip his $60 million shot more often.
But yeah, the leafs looked quick and they were all over the place and took advantage of the rangers dipsey doodling bullshit.
sda.....If you dont mind me asking. What are tickets going for at MSG these days? Id love to make a trip to the Big Apple this winter and catch a game...Im guessing they are on par with Leaf tickets (which are WAAAAAAY too expensive).
Its also nice to see what a difference the new ice and lighting in MSG made when watching it on TV. Those games used to be painful to watch.

Well since I am in the city I bout tickets on stubhub at 6 pm for $60...$80 after fees on stubhub. I sat up in the new balcony behind where the Rangers shoot twice above the 400's. Great seats would recommend sitting there but a little tight squeezed.
The average ticket will cost you around $50 and this will be the only game I go to this year most likely, maybe one more. The arena looks great and it's still improving along with the Rangers. If you can make the trip go.
While speaking to our psychologist at work today I learned about Tennessee's "privilege fee". In addition to his yearly state license fee he has to pay a privilege fee. My coworker, also a real estate agent, concurred that her real estate license also comes with the 400/500$? (Don't remember exactly) privilege fee. This is not required of nurses (though nursing license renewal is $100) so I Googled it. Turns out all NHL players have to pay $2500 for each game played in TN (say, they play the Preds at home- they PAY to play in TN). This was CRAZY to me. One player wrote an article about how he was paid $2080 to play against the Preds before taxes, but had to give TN $2500. I hope I found an older site and that has changed. If not, the team should totally pay it, not the individual. OK, this is totally long and maybe should be in the 'Drunken Rants' thread.

I'm watching this Flyers vs. Sabres game and Buffalo looks god awful. Zone play is flat and lazy, Ryan Miller is unfocused, and they have no forecheck. No forecheck? No goals.
