As a Pittsburgh fan, that game last night was a rough one...but as a hockey fan, it was awesome. No matter how much I hate the Flyers sometimes, this series is gonna be a great one.
I watched the first two periods of the Pred/Wings game last night at a great little pub called Riverside Pub... obviously on the east side in Riverside Village.
I'm upset with myself that I've never been there before, but it was a great place to watch the game with a bunch of hardcore Preds fans! AND they have a fantastic beer selection. (I had the Yazoo Gerst and the Jackalope Love Bird--which I will have every time I see it anywhere from now on. Seriously one of the best beers I've had in a while.)
So Nashvillians, if you want a great place to watch the Preds playoff games, head to Riverside pub!
Seriously. They don't just got shooting lanes, they have the entire blue line! Both the Bruins and the Caps would make swiss cheese out of those defenses.
We will see, we will see. Something tells me the Flyers will start playing D when they start playing a team that they need to play D against. I have a feeling that Game 4 is going to be a slightly awkward affair. Pitt looked so defeated for the majority of today's game that I doubt they are able to get it together for Wednesday.

8 goals in back to back games. Game 4 is gonna be brutal to watch. Giroux is gonna get a double hat trick.
Maybe the Flyers will pick up on D. They are seriously needing Pronger right now. And I know Bryzgalov played in PHX for awhile, but playoffs are just not his thing.

Pretty pissed about the suspensions announced today. The NHL hasnt been consistent enough with these rulings. Shea weber can get fined chump change for blatantly smashing another players head into the glass. A repeat offender can punch a helpless player and a complete by accident hit to the head for a first time offender isnt worth 3 games. 1 at max.
The only satisfaction is we will probably see Krieder in the lineup tomorrow.

Really interested to see how the NHL responds to this Torres hit on Hossa. Hossa did not look good and hardly moved after Torres left his feet and made clear contact to the head.
The bar in the airport? Or the airport bar based on something else?
nah, not the one in the airport. the original -- downtown, next to the Ryman. famous local hang of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Dylan, Bono, and Jack White (among countless others.)
if you still plan on road-tripping thru Nashville after Forecastle this summer, it would be a mistake not to stop in this dive for a longneck or three.
(the Stanley Cup quite possibly will be sitting on a shelf above the bar by then.)
