I need to give this a go. My wife is Orthodox Catholic, where the entire sermon is done in a muslim/english chant with eruptions of singing. I love going just for the music. It reminds of the Liars.
My wife and son had fell asleep. It was a special La Habra SoCal night. Christmas. We had decorated the tree and put out all the presents. I was tripping on orange barrels, more than a couple lolz . The major radio station ?? streamed the release, not yet on sale: Yes's Tales of Topographic Oceans. It had just been released in Europe but not till later in January here. I had my Teac 4 track reel to reel and couldn't wait record the broadcast. As I spent the next hour or so listening to the stream, I saw this and many tours but this moment seemed to be special. Life was good and it would only get better from there. Yikes I was right ... cr****

It's tame music—"eruptions" is not a word that comes to mind. It's stately and reserved. But it is lovely for what it is.
That's very interesting to hear about your wife's church. I myself, as some around here already know, am an Orthodox Christian priest, so I'm sure there are a lot of liturgical similarities, although what you've described about their style of worship leaves me puzzled. Can you send me a link to something, or at least a link to her church's website?
