Totally great. It feels utterly timeless, really. I love the fact that Shorter keeps his improvisations tethered to a relatable melody, subtly touching down on it from time to time. It's got a really solid balance. I am sure you will like it. Anything else new in the jazz world I should be aware of?
Edit: There's also some pretty stunning work on "Pegasus," during the middle of which, someone (not sure if it's a band member or audience member) audibly says, "Oh my god!"

Yeah, so far it's pretty great... this week has been just wild, (at least) 4 early AOTYCs for me from this week.
It's the perfect cross between drone and pop. There's just enough to keep people listening to something they may not have in the past.
I was just reading the press-release for it and this grabbed me: "After agreeing to take on the album, Ring spent a month in an abandoned factory building rehearsing with a 30-piece ensemble". That makes me wanna see it more.
