It's Friday night, and I am living it up. In bed, heating pad on high, tens unit cranked to 20 (I don't know how high it goes!!), eating pretzels. Just living the life.

Okay, you don't have to answer this if you don't want to but I thought I'd give it a shot. I know you said you had children (maybe a singular child, I forget) and you talk about smoking a lot. Do you talk to your kid(s) about smoking, do they know? Or do you smoke with them? My friends and I were debating what we'd do when we're adults and it likely becomes legal in most places. I said I wouldn't want my kids (if I have them, I'm speaking for what I'd like to happen obviously) to know I do until they become older. Even then I wouldn't wanna smoke with them until after high school (again assuming I still do and even have an interest when that time comes.) What're your thoughts as a parent? I know my mom knows I do and she doesn't mind (granted I'd never think about doing it in front of her or even being noticeably high in front of her).

My kid is 16. I'm very open about sex, drugs, life and everything. He knows I started smoking cigarettes at 11, weed at 12, tripping and skipping at 15. He knows that drugs are illegal and bad and that you can become addicted. He knows that if he ever has any questions about anything he can talk to me. He also knows that if he was going to do anything, I'd prefer he do weed. I've contemplated telling him I smoke still, he's pretty much busted me a few times, but doesn't admit that I do. I'm also bad and have left my bowl in the kitchen and he's seen it. If he asks me I will tell him, but I won't smoke with him until he's graduated high school. He hates smoke of all kinds and says he won't ever. I'm lucky. I have a straight A student, who's a Boy Scout and wants to be an Eagle Scout. He has plans for his future, a path and is general awesome. I would say it's because I'm so open as a parent but honestly, idk how I got so lucky. He's father isn't alive and we had really rough patches but one thing I know is I don't have to worry about my kid or about him and drugs.

Thanks for the response. You sincerely sound like a great mom. I'm sorry about his dad, I grew up with only a mom for awhile too and I know that it sort of changes the whole landscape of the family. It is funny that you said he wants to be an Eagle Scout and he doesn't want to smoke. I was a Boy Scout for awhile and some of my friends that stayed on and completed Eagle were some of the biggest potheads I knew lmao.
I love Grumpy's new boyfriend. He's def a keeper. He has asked me to to play The Weeknd, Nas, The National and A Tribe Called Quest tonight. No one ever asks me to play that shit, I'm normally forcing it on people. I love it. So much. We're def keeping him around.

Been wide awake since 2am and have to wake up at 4am to go to work. I think I'm just going to give in and play skyrim for the next hour instead of laying in bed staring at my walls.
And now I'm sad because I have to quit playing Skyrim and go to work.

I wish I had someone like you in my family when I was growing up
my friends and I were having a nice little group text conversation going. one goes, "guys, why don't we brunch anymore?" rather than organize a brunch, like I normally would, I called up my nearest brunch spot and ordered some carry out brunch so I could eat biscuits and gravy and bacon in my bed and binge watch tv. I've been living alone too long.

They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
A few years ago I recorded the Black Israelites preaching in Times Square and threw it up on Youtube. The comment section on that video is a battleground of unending racism. Today there was a new comment that helped me learn more about who I am:
The white devil recording it was to funny ... Just looking in their eyes you can see the spirit of satan when they smile ... The window to their soul is pure wickedness
