I love magic eye things. I used to have a whole book of them. It never occurred to me that people couldn't see them... learn something new everyday.
Anyways, I just found out that I'm going to be a hired hoop performer at an all day event here this weekend. I don't hoop in front of people and I almost never hoop indoors. I'm very, very nervous about this. I'm not sure why I agreed to do it.. I am not good enough to be a hired performer............ Actually, I do know why I agreed to it. It's a free concert ticket, free booze, and VIP access to the venue.. but I'm soooooo nervous. I don't like being on display like that.
edit: Oh, yea, and I have to come up with a costume that is circus themed. One friend is being a Jester, another is being a Mime, and idk what the other two are thinking. Any ideas?
Be a circus freak. Strongman, bearded lady, etc. That would be pretty rad and a lot more unique than a clown/ringleader/whatever I think.
That could be really easy actually... the only instructions i have are circus themed, bright, and fun. and i'm sure i could find something that isn't super restrictive clothing wise for this too. this would be mostly a make-up & hair costume too, which the people i'm doing this with are both hair stylists so i'm set there. good idea!
and thanks jfg108, this is waaaaaay out of my comfort zone, the things i'll do for free music and beer. but mostly free beer.

tiger costume could be easy. it could even incorporate a tutu. some fun makeup, a tail and eats.....
after more googling I do like this idea a lot. Mostly because I usually hoop in a tank top and booty shorts, which I could wear with this. Just do some body paint and glitter and tease my hair and I'm good to go. I want to stay away from tutus because I feel like they get in the way when I hoop. They're not terribly obstructive, but my first time in front of people I don't want any extra obstacles... But I'm loving the way this looks. (I'd do the make up of the top, outfit of the bottom)
So I just found out one of my regulars from my old job back in AZ passed away back in May. We weren't super close friends or anything but it has me a little shaken because he died of a stroke a few days before his 30th birthday. A stroke!
I used to have two brothers for landlords- one of which who lived on the first floor of the duplex house I live in- but one day about 2 years ago the one downstairs didn’t show up for work. That evening, I saw the other brother’s wife creeping in his windows… she managed to sneak in and found him on the bathroom floor. 34. Stroke.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Heading out to the airport to go to California for the first time, I could not be more excited
Doing anything fun out here?
Yup! Going to do all of the touristy things around LA, then going to visit my step brother in San Diego. I really want to go see Warpaint on Saturday at the Observatory too. So much to do in so little time

If you like to eat pigs, be sure to check out Carnitas Snack Shack in North Park. Delicious and cheap!

I can second that and my name is bacon so you know it's legit, another fine pig eating establishment is The Salted Pig in Riverside if you happen to be in the Inland Empire (there really are very few reason to be there, but just in case)
I can't decide whether All My Friends or Home is the better LCD Soundsystem song.
Off the top of my head, this is impossible but....
1. All My Friends 2. Someone Great 3. Losing My Edge 4. Yeah 5. Us V Them 6. You Wanted A Hit 7. Dance Yrself Clean 8. New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down 9. North American Scum 10. Beat Connection 11. Home
Stopped when I got to both songs. Probably could change the order of 1-5 and 6-11 pretty easily.
Beat Connection in the top 10?
Interesting, I've would've had Never as Tired as When I'm Waking Up in its place. I agree with the rest of this list in principle. Any of these could be considered the band's best song.
If I had to rank them , it'd go something like this:
1. All My Friends/Home 2. All My Friends/Home 3. Someone Great 4. Losing My Edge 5. New York I Love You... 6. Dance Yrself Clean 7. Us V. Them 8. North American Scum 9. I Can Change 10. Never As Tired As When I'm Waking Up 11. Yeah
The order of 3-9 changes with frequency, and 1 and 2 change even more so.

Thirded. And now I want to take a trip to San Diego.
Random thought: I find pregnant women unreasonably adorable
A work friend back in Carson City is a tiny person normally, but she's like 8+ months pregnant right now. When I see her on video conferences, I'm so sad that I haven't gotten to see her in person this whole time.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

Just heard three songs from the new spoon album on the radio and that shit was great!! I shouldn't be surprised. Can't wait to listen to that whole album.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
