OK so we have this thread witch is random thoughts which are often commented on by various board members. We also have the GRRRRRRRR thread which also receives comments of encouragement/discouragement by members. But what I'm not seeing is a thread for those of us seeking advice not Bonnaroo related that doesn't really fit into those categories. Does a non-Bonnaroo advice thread exist? Somewhere where you can state your problem and receive feedback from the community on how this or that member would deal with or approach it.
I'd like to start that thread. The googles fail me. As far as I can tell there is no such thread.
EDIT: I've got worrys but I'd be interested in other perspectives on how to handle them

This was actually a random work thought from two days ago and I forgot to post it when it happened, because it was right as I was heading home. I had to deal with a very young lost girl (maybe 2) whom did not speak any english for about 15 minutes. She basically was just curled up in a ball and wouldn't move or acknowledge any of us trying to help her. Then after all that time the Mom comes casually walking up like nothing happened and seemed annoyed at us for making such a big deal.

Would it of been wrong to punch her? I think no.
VERY wrong! One shouldn't punch any child ... theirs or not.

I am pretty sure he was asking if it would have been ok to punch the mom since she didn't appear to think losing her 2 year old in a large university setting was a big deal.

It was an attempt at humor. I'll head back to the joke drawing board.
Idk if he's been. But he lives there so I assume he has. If not, he's a failure.
Ouch! I've just always been a fan of visiting a new city and going to a fest during the weekend. It adds a new dimension to traveling.
Why would you want to visit Houston?? Blech. Only go there to free press if you like your fests balls hot. There are a million other city fests where you enjoy exploring much more (and have better weather!).

You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

Well...she's not wrong! I lived in Houston for 20 years, glad to be out of that humidity!

Eh, Houston in early June isn't that bad. It starts to get really bad Mid July through August. Plus the humidity keeps your skin moist and looking young, who doesn't want that

This is life with my family. After they finish lunch, they discuss what they should eat at dinner. And if it is dinnertime, you eat regardless of your hunger level, well - because. If they don't have food in front of them or already inside them by 10am, 1pm, and 6pm...you can expect serious problems.
Oh, and no meal is complete without dessert, after a second helping of errything. It's gotten to the point where if we get together for a family dinner at someone's house, I will start taking the serving dishes half full of the different food off the table after we 'plate up' the first time. Makes it more work to get seconds.
I LOVE food, and will pig out from time to time - including the occasional dropped pie - and I love my family too, but their relationship with food is difficult for me to deal with. I know that wasn't the point of your post, but I already typed this (on a phone, no less) so immagonna hit the post button.

Houston would allow me to fly in and catch a festival and enjoy some Tex-Mex and then head to the coast. If I'm going to visit Texas on more than a layover flight or driving on I-10 I'd like to see both the city and the coastline is all.

I haven't been to Galveston since I was in high school, but I've always thought of the Gulf Coast in that area to be pretty trashy. If you want nice beaches in Texas, you'll have to go further south to Corpus Christi, South Padre, etc.
Not trying to rain on your parade, just don't want you to plan a trip to Galveston expecting it to be really cool!
