1. Is $5 considered to be a standard delivery tip nowadays? If that's the case then I just need to completely stop ordering out. I tip $2 and never considered that to be out of the ordinary.
2. The sole reason I am still on Facebook is because of the people that I want to maintain connections with but have no other way to do so. I can't really stand Facebook much anymore.

God, I hope not. I’ve been tipping the drivers $4 for years thinking I was going above and beyond. Now I replaying every “THANKS FOR THE TIP” in my head, trying to detect sarcasm.
I think you can both rest easy. It's been 12 years since I delivered but I don't think this stuff has changed much. Tip what you can - any tip is appreciated over no tip. You'd be surprised at how many people don't tip. Especially if there's a delivery fee. One place I delivered in Knoxville had a $1.50 delivery fee, of which I took home a dollar. That's coverage for gas money, though. The other place I worked didn't have a delivery and gave us 4% of our deliveries as gas money. But people see a delivery fee and say "I'm not giving a tip". That's wrong.
What has changed, I think - at least for me - is tipping for takeout. I used to wonder what a tip was for at takeout, but now I realize you are just appreciating someone doing their job well. My office orders from a Thai restaurant 20 min away at least once a month, and every time I go to pick it up, I make sure to collect enough to tip them $8-10. The staff knows my name and always triple checks my order just because I'm good to them.
Fucking old people. Y’all need to drink more and get with the program.
I believe Postjack is clean and sober so that makes the suggestion not even an option lol.
Maybe just pound some five hour energy's and some advil.
I'm not over 35 but I've definitely been super sore by Sunday at Roo and need to find ways to stand so I don't get all cramped up. I'm also very out of shape....so that's a factor
Yeah he is. I didn’t think he was over 35, but I guess he could be. Imho since I’m not going to be on stuff to keep me up all night, I usually go with caffeine. I know I’m going to drink the shit out of some booze along the way, and I gotta have an iced coffee or Red Bull or something like that on the way too. Just the same, I got cankles after Waka 14. Then there was the Monday after Voodoo 16 where I couldn’t tear off paper wrist bands. Haha. Sometimes that last day requires extra effort for sure. And I’ve started making sure I’m at least off the day after the end of whatever festival I’m at. But old people problems is funny. I never meant to get old.

I get sleepy and grumpy during the intermission between bands now. As soon as the band stops my brain realizes that there are too many humans surrounding me and we hates it. I just want to dance, no talking or other interaction.
Unemployment has really caused my introversion to become extremely extreme. It’s really not good.
Good news though, since December I've been doing 20 minute HIIT workouts 3 times a week, and since March I've lost 17 lbs.
At Movement a few weeks back I experienced no back pain the whole weekend. I always get back pain at festivals. Not sure if it's the weight loss or exercise but I'm sure both help. I also had more energy and was able to push myself later into the AM than usual.
EDIT: i should add i've also been eating a high fat low carb/sugar diet since March, which might also contribute to the higher energy levels.

This is why I enjoy going to festivals alone. Between sets I just like to stare off into the middle distance sometimes.

I have an interview for a job with the state in like an hour and just need all the good/positive thoughts sent. If I can get this job, I can get my retirement back and after working in a kitchen for 15 years, some completely mindless office work sounds REALLY FUCKING GOOD. Already know how to deal with the bureaucracy. It would also be very nice to not depend on unemployment and have health insurance again.
Thank you in advance, fine people.
EDIT: Interview went ok. Being unable to list professional references is the bane of my existence, though. Really shitty that I worked somewhere for 15 years and not a single person that still works there is able to give a reference because of County policy. Also shitty on my end for not keeping in touch with some of my teachers from culinary school or more than one person that no longer works at my old job. C'est la vie, I guess.
I really resent so-called Select A Size paper towels. They're just small paper towels. They aren't some sort of empowering option.
SaS p towels are for small liquid spills. Because it's liquid you need something stronger than a napkin, but a small spill doesn't require a full sizer.

I’m going to tell you how I really feel. I hate these fuckers. But they are all that Costco carries now. I want a nice swath of paper towel to wipe up after my sloppy self and I get a postage stamp. It’s BS.
I use them too, but doesn't bleaching paper result in PCB's or something? It's nice to have a dish rag or sponge around to clean up liquids. Also, I'll use pieces parts of paper towels regardless of whether they have half-size perforations depending on how much I need. If a dog pisses on the floor, you might need like a stack of several. If you want to blow your nose and it's the closest thing handy, a perpendicular tear can give you just the amount you need.
On a more random note, There’s lots of pretty, pretty ones That want to get you high But all the pretty, pretty ones Will leave you low, and blow your mind

added an edit here about my diet to clarify.
so:
1. exercise and HFLC/keto diet 2. weight loss 3. ??? 4. more energy and no back pain
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Select-A-Size are the best. But we use them for napkins more than anything.
You should really be cleaning up spills with a side towel. Learn the glory of side towels! I have three hanging in my kitchen at the ready, with a whole drawer full as back up. Cut up old bath towels. One less thing for the landfill!

I.....I don't think I understand. They are "select" a size for a reason. You select your size. Just select a bigger size? You don't HAVE to rip it at the preforated mark. That's just if you want to
We use plenty of reusable rags but with two kids and a dog, there is plenty to clean that you just don't want going in the washer.
Actually, a lot of what I use paper towels for is covering bowls when reheating stuff in the microwave. Then then sham sizes are really a pain in the ass because as steam is added to the mix the integrity of the bond between the two paper towels falls apart and then you've got a hole. Splatters. Normally I'll just use it as a napkin when I'm done reheating but that doesn't work when they've split and soaked up a bunch of food, for example.
If you want tiny paper towels, more power to you. But don't try to sell me that using several tiny towels is just as good as one normal sized one cause that's a damn lie.
