what are your go-to pump up/gym songs? I'm working on my workout playlist and it's too much odesza, phantogram, and rufus du sol at the moment..
PS. baby showers suck. not as much as *wedding showers* because at least baby showers serve a purpose.
Mine has lots of Run the Jewels as well as Daft Punk's Alive 2007 album on it, and I find that they get me pumped up the most. RTJ is just aggressive as fuck and DP is pretty high-energy. Mostly everything else is singles, but I've got a few Kanye songs, some Beyonce, Jamie xx, a little Major Lazer. Anything with a steady and hard-hitting four-on-the-floor beat is preferable to me, especially if I'm running.
Edit: Just saw that snowman already recommended Alive 2007. That man knows what's up.
another one here that uses Alive 2007 as a regular workout record, though if i'm being honest my workout game since Bonnaroo has been nonexistent. but i've somehow managed to not gain or lose a single pound.
A gym playlist I made months ago is comprised of RTJ, Bassnectar, Future, Drake, Slayer, and Pantera.
We were warned when we went out to the national championship game that the drive from Las Vegas to Phoenix was utter boredom. Thing is, none of us southerners had been out there before, so we loved it. Right Siggy ?
Yeah it was really pretty.
When JR and I went to Vegas in 2014 we went and drove through Red Rock Canyon. It was so pretty. We got out a few times to oooh and ahhh. We're both from MI, but have been in the Carolinas for 11 years. Steph, I think you invited us to tailgate once upon a time ago... (I believe at a Clemson game)? If you have another event like this, hit us up.

We live about 15 minutes from Red Rock Canyon! It is probably my favorite thing about living here!
My favorite day was the day we saw a desert tortoise!
My second favorite day was the day we found the decorated Christmas tree:

My friends and I recently invented a game called "Battle Aux".
It's where one person has control of the music being played (typically an aux cord in a car or a speaker in a room) but it has to meet someone's requirement. Like the first one might be "someone from your hometown" so I would play Radiohead. Then someone else would add "someone whose band name starts with G" so then I could play Glass Animals because they are from my hometown and start with a G. So the requirements keep going and getting added on until a person folds, doesn't meet the requirement, or gets voted off. You get one point for playing a song without it getting voted off and one point if someone failed on your requirement.
Example: Last night I got the category "songs that make you cry". So I played "True Love Waits" by Radiohead and got a point. Then I got the requirement the artist has to be black. So I played "Only One" by Kanye and got a point because it met both requirements. Then I got the requirement "the artist must be from New York" I played "At Last" by Etta James, BUT someone called BS because she isn't from New York. Because of that I lost two points and my pal who called BS got two points.
Another example: My friend got the requirement "has to be released in 2014" and played "No Role Modelz" by J Cole and got voted off immediately. He lost one point for being voted off and the person who added the "2014" requirement got one point.
I wish I wasn't so antisocial. Or self-conscious. I was invited to a birthday party tonight for an acquaintance I met through a student organization I'm a member of and have kept up with over the summer (the group not the person- though he's at every event since he's the VP of the group). I was invited via FB event invite with about only 30-40 invitees listed. I don't really know anyone going, unless other members from the student group go (which I think a couple are?). But I have no one to go with and I don't know anyone in the group that well. This would be my first non-group related, social occasion with these people. All of which are a few years younger than me (this is his 21st bday...)
I can't tell if I should go or not. If this was going to be a big party I'd prob feel better about going, but only 18 out of 36 have said going on the FB group. So even if you cut that in half and then account for people who do show up bringing people, were only at around 20 people. Too few to hide my level of social awkwardness.
Uggghhhhhhh. I hate socializing and then then loneliness not socializing brings. It's like a constant catch 22.

go an hour late, say happy birthday, do a birthday shot, see what's the happs. if it's weird, peace out with an excuse about working early tomorrow or something. if it is a 21st birthday there will probably be plenty of booze, and the ice will be broken by the time you get there.

Watching Tomorrowland livestream, I tell my friend, "I never understand why you need 2 guys up there, you dont need 2 guys up there." In response "Why the hell do ya even need one?"...wise words spoken.
I had a massive argument with a feminist while waiting for arcade fire in front of q huge crowd classic jimmy too.
Did you use slampiece at any time during the discussion? I bet that would have helped you win.
No. Tbh, I don't remember too much substance about the argument, but I think she was trying to argue that a rape victim would be justified in killing his/her assailant after the fact (I.e. Not self defense). She asked me if I'd prosecute that person for murder, and I said absolutely.
(FTR, I'm going to be a prosecutor starting in September)

Ironically I thought a small group would make it more awkward, but it was kinda nice. The party was very small hodge podge of people he clearly knows from different areas of his social life. A few I knew from the student group, others I'd never seen before. But I'm pretty sure that's how everyone was. So I was able to blend in with my social awkwardness because I'm pretty sure everyone felt a bit socially awkward. I fit right in.
I did feel really old at times though. As with any 21st birthday party the ages can skew young. And I've discovered that 19 year olds kinda suck..

Oh, well I fully stand on your side of the argument because murder, no matter what the motive, is indeed murder.
