Jeremy has been working at the aquarium through labor ready while waiting for his real, full time position at the zoo to start. Perks of him working there are: • it is close to my work so I can meet him for lunch • he gets me into the aquarium for free (which I could do also through work perks) • they have different events that I can be part of (today NASA was there !!!)
Nothing has been going right at work today with the newsletter program, and that lunch break to meet my honey with the perk of meeting some astronauts and getting a bunch of NASA swag was pretty awesome. The rest of the day can suck but I am now a very happy girl.
In the continuing adventures of and Dave are music nerds, We constituted 2 of the first 3 likes on Brooklyn Vegan's facebook post re: the new Inter Arma.
No Invisible Orange love? That is the BV metal site.
I was unaware of this. Another thing for the facebook feed!
Side note: It's Invisible Oranges. Get your shit together, sir.
It's a music website for local stuff in NYC (concert news, reviews, venues closing, etc.). Pretty solid site.
oh, alright. I'm not even going to tempt myself by looking at it then. All the shows I can't afford to go to are piling up as is.
I live well outside the range of the shows they talk about (aside from Big Ears). I follow them on Facebook because it's another new source for bands. I'm sure I've learned about more than a few from them.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike sucks. I'd throw a genie wish on a wormhole or tear in the space time continuum that made the trip instantaneous. It's really the worst.

Despite having lived my entire life in the Northeast, I've somehow avoided ever driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. However, I've been on I-81 enough times to know that driving through PA in summer (AKA construction season) is absolute torture.

81 through PA is unbearable. There is perpetual phantom construction around Scranton. I do not miss that drive anymore.

Not to mention the horrific number of dead deer the line the side of the highways in PA. Gross.

Join my pact in wishing for a turnpike wormhole if granted genie wishes!

78 to NJ is bad too, like dangerous bad. Around Allentown that road gets so narrow with virtually nowhere to pull off.

I think they've finally wrapped up the construction around Scranton. But sections of I-81 north of Scranton are down to one lane.
you'll get so bored and feel so alone and see so few signs of civilization driving across nebraska that you'll begin to ask yourself if everything around is real or if you're in a real life the hills have eyes situation.
