Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I wish I understood how/why music festivals have become so diluted.
My 2 cents
1. The more festivals you have gone to, the more redundant all the festy bands become. 2. Festivals are treated as a venue now for artist to tour around from top to bottom of a lineup, not just headliners. 3. Corp. money has given the many smaller fest more opportunities to compete, and brought the bigger fest down a few pegs. 4. Bonnaroo being in the middle of Tennessee is the biggest issue Bonnaroo faces. The second is whoever they have scheduling acts
I wonder if it would benefit Roo to move it to a different weekend, say Memorial Day weekend, than the second of June.
Id say perhaps, but with plans to add more fest to GSP I dont see them moving their only established festival. That said, I didnt see them shitting the bed completely this year with the lineup either and they could throw the kitchen sink at it next year if ticket sales slump 2 years in a row.
Chatted up some guy at the barn in pod 2 and he asked me if was going to see third eye blind. I said no, he told me he's so pumped for it and can't wait to hear them play Kryptonite. I'm gonna let him find out for himself.

Guy from third eye blind doing ring of fire during the superjam was one of the worst things I've seen
Last night happened to notice my freezer frosting over on the inside, and the temperature rose to 17 degrees. This morning it went back to normal, thankfully. It's the third time this has happened, at least I didn't need to call a repairman like last time.
Guys, I'm stuck in my first situation where I'm gonna have to be an adult... I've my ticket purchased for Lollapalooza but today, I found that I am likely getting the spot as the production assistant for the Halloween event that Busch Gardens Tampa Bay does, "Howl-o-Scream." This job would only be six weeks but it would lead to many great future opportunities. BUT, Lollapalooza falls during those six weeks...
This post has multiple functions: I'm partially bragging cause this job is like a dream come true for me and I'm real excited, but it's also me wanting to cry because I've wanted to Radiohead for so many years and I thought I as finally gonna get to. I know the obvious correct choice for life but it really hurts to have to skip Radiohead when is already bought the tickets. Ughhhhhh
Definitely take that job, dude. Radiohead ain't going nowhere *knocks on wood*
Funny you mention Howl-O-Scream, as I'm from Tampa and never been, but have gone to Halloween Horror Nights like seven times.

I used to go to Howl-O-Scream when they first started but I've been to Horror Nights every year since I was 5 (1999) except for one year. I absolutely love horror nights and this could definitely turn in to a great point on a résumé if I wish to apply to work for horror nights later on!

Someone just walked into my building singing "Purple Rain" loudly. Finally, someone cool.
I just bought two mint plants. Everyone send positive thoughts to them. Specifically the peppermint one, he's got a severe case of rolypoly bugs that I didn't see until I brought him home.

Mint is resilient. It grows like a weed. I believe in your little plants!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Its my first solo attempt at growing anything. If I can keep a weed alive, I can do anything! And I really like mojitos, so this is way cheaper than going to the store and buying mint all the time.
My mom's mint truly grows like a weed and she rarely waters it or does anything to it (it's outdoors). And it won't help mojitos, but we did give her a(n indoor) kaffir lime tree for Christmas two years ago too.

I don't understand why pizza places use those itty bitty thin napkins. Don't they go through more than if they gave, bigger, sturdier ones?
Or really, any restaurant that uses those BS excuses for napkins. Fried chicken places seem to always give you those, too. No, I'm picking at a greasy chicken leg, please give me a Brawny.
I don't really know where to post this, so it's going here.
I've never had a better time with the great people of inforoo than this year. I was solo most of the weekend and I never felt alone. I've been around this board for about five years and it's crazy to think how far I have come here. Because of inforoo I live in Nashville! I stayed a week at Mike D's two years ago and now Chelsea and I live with him! I have the most fulfilling job I've ever had! I could go on forever, but I won't. Life is good.
So thanks.

The Jesus tent was honestly one of the best parts of the bonnaroo campgrounds. Fresh fruit, food, charging stations, and AC were a godsend when dealing with the Manchester heat. Everyone there was really nice and not pushy with the religion thing.

I'm a napkin FIEND. nothing worse than tissue paper-thin napkins.
I am the exact opposite actually. I rarely use a napkin and when I do, I just rub my fingers on it and don't crinkle it up. it usually ends up refolded and almost perfect looking at the end. Even with buffalo wings.
