300 level courses are designed to suck every single bit of fun out of life. My brain keeps battling between "you only have 9 courses left til graduation" and "eff this, I quit".
I went for it (clicking the link) and I'm really bummed. That is now on my browser history at work and I didn't even get to see the size and power of those vibrators.
So I just found out that one of the managers who just left made over $4/hr more than me, even though she had only had her position two years longer than I've had mine (and our raises are only $.60 or so per year). Can anything good come out of bringing this up to my bosses? I don't feel like this is fair since our departments are comparable in size and we have/had equal qualifications.

Depends on the size of your company and the way you found out. Do you have an HR department?

It's Barnes & Noble - yes we have an HR department, and I found out because my former coworker told me (I asked). I knew she made more than me, but not to this extent.
Edit: I looked over some sales reports, and she's actually in charge of more than I was giving her credit for. Still feel a little salty though.

Yeah - proving experience + job duties to = commensurate salary is difficult. It is doable however. Your HR department should have salary data for all position descriptions in your company with a min/mid/max that correlates to experience (years and/or education), job responsibilities (to include supervisory role) and geographic location (for cost of living adjustments). If you had a friend or someone you trusted in HR, I'd just ask them if they have that and if they can tell you where you are on it. You might find even though you're making less than she was, you're still above the midpoint and they're within their right to pay you what they're paying you, regardless of what she makes. Just keep doing research and collecting information - a time may come when you can just drop it all on some clueless boss who will either give you a proper raise because they're scared of how much you know or unlawfully terminate you because they're scared of how much you know.

^^^ I like all of those comments. I would add the corporate nature of your employer makes it imperative you first read your employee handbook (rulebook), before you share what you learned.
You probably signed a piece of paper agreeing to the rules within - which may include a prohibition regarding employees discussing ANYONE'S salary with other employees. They do that for a reason. Don't get yourself in trouble for nothing.

Wait, she made over $4/hr more than you, AND she was a woman?

That's a really important addendum. It was actually the reason I originally asked how you knew but then forgot to make this point in the follow up.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Interesting that the initial lineup doesn't lead to a sustained bump. You'd think a noticeable number of people would be researching the line up more than a few weeks in advance. Think it just goes toward the idea that people are buying Bonnaroo tickets because of the festival brand, then researching the lineup later.

Good point. I might just have to keep this in my back pocket for now and take it out during the appropriate phase in my quest for world domination.

That was a great read, thanks for the link. I love whenever I can get any insight on Julian. It's a shame that he barely does any interviews, I'm always so interested in what the man has to say
Hugging buttholes gets you 2 points knocked off your purity score though.
I wish I would have been in on the purity score fun when it really happened.
I've had an eventful summer. Maybe I'll retake it.
I already have a "Lower Your Purity Score 20 points in One Weekend" seminar formulated. It couples things like mutual "diaper wearing" with "fondling genitals over clothing", "Mixing Marijuana, Bondage, and Wine", and the like. Very efficient.
I'm not even kidding. I actually thought about this while I was driving today. I get bored.
