I can't believe I have another day left of this shit. I'm delerious.
We're rooting for you! Hope you weren't involved in that ExamSoft debacle.
I was actually very fortunate to have my exam uploaded within a couple hours of the exam. My roomate didn't get his in until 4am the following morning.
Welp, I'm done. Feels like I failed both exams. I hate life.
How you "feel" you did is in no way a reliable indicator of how you did. It's a function of your self-confidence, not your performance. I have plenty of friends who thought they did great and failed and vice versa.
Your challenge now is not to obsess about it for the months until results come out. To quote Crazy Eyes on Orange Is the New Black: "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow's a mystery." Despite the fact that she tends to hit herself in the head when she says stuff like that, it's not really a worthwhile use of your time to beat yourself up over what happened before or what you think is going to happen in the future. If you insist on being beaten up, go to the What Stage, disagree with someone's opinion on Kanye, and let them do the work for you.
So I get into a discussion on FB with one of my former elementary teachers and friend of the family. It has to do with, generally, the middle east and US policy. She asked me this question "If it came down to it, would you fight on the side of the constitution, or Sharia law" Dumb question, of course. As there is no evidence we are in any danger of falling under Sharia law here in the states. So, I answered her. I then countered with this question "If it came down to it would you fight for the constitution or a Christian theocracy here in the US"............no answer. None. It has really given me pause, and has been on my mind a lot for some reason. Very disturbing on many levels.

No danger of falling under Sharia Law?! Are you blind? We have a non-white president with the middle name Hussein whose father was, perhaps, Muslim! If we're not careful, we'll soon have Muslim men telling women how to behave as opposed to Christian men the way the good Lord intended. Wake up white people!

It's like the people who seem to think you have to be 100% pro-Israel or you are a terrorist. Fucking infuriating
So there is an alarming amount of country music stations on the radio up here, and severe lack of anything non Top 40-none of which is explicitly bad except the fact that XM radio does not carry service in these parts so I cannot escape when needed. On the upside, I have been brushing up on my Gershwin, Haydn, and countless other composers thanks to one very strong signaled Classical station.
Just met Tim Showalter in a nearby record store. Really goofy and down to earth dude. He was so happy and appreciated that I came two hours for the show.
Also Waffle House meal tonight was top 5 waffle house meal all time.

The obvious question is: How did you take your hash browns?

dear god. months to find out if you passed the bar? guess thats why i'm not a lawyer (the only reason).
1. Anyone have tips on getting a good price on flights? I'm looking to take a trip in the fall, but don't like the prices right now. I know I seen cheaper in years past, but how long do I have to wait before it goes up to something prohibitively high?
2. Sleeper Agent is doing a free show in Providence tomorrow. Would it be anything worthwhile seeing?
Right now round trip has been consistently at $215 for the past week. But the better timed flights are a bit more expensive. And I was hoping to pay under $200, the further under the better.
I'm thinking that if they go into August and not moving, it'll drop into the 170s range.

My friend, who somehow gets the best deals on travel all the time, told me that the tuesday 30 days out is the time when flights are the cheapest. But Tuesday is always the day to book. Definitely when they're the cheapest.
Also, if your time of arrival/departure are flexible, Hotwire really is the way to go. If not, Southwest.

went over to my buddy's place to jam tonight. he just moved into a guest house behind some dude in downtown tempe. we played for a few hours, then went to the local bar and run into his landlord. we apologize if we were loud or anything. he literally says "don't worry about it. i didn't hear you at all. when the gin blossoms played in there the whole neighborhood knew." apparently the gin blossoms used to rent this dude's guest house to practice. he said when they moved out he had to repaint the whole room because the walls were covered in song lyrics.

I don't know which of those two stories you are more excited about having happened.
I REALLY like Waffle House.
That show was TNT though. Wow. They played in a small tavern for probably about 40 people. The crowd really dug it and Timothy is really fun on stage. You commented on his guitaringness and damn you were right. Very talented. Just a great time and I'm very glad I went. I would like to see them on a bigger stage with a bigger crowd. I know they're not at that status yet, I just feel it would be a great setting for them. They put out some noise, too big for a small bar. Go see them.

Sleeper Agent played TulipFest here in May. They were a ton of fun. Get drunk and dance like a fool!
My sister just called me while I'm at work. She just got coffee at the mcdonalds drive thru. The creepy guy at the window goes "I like your perfume." She replies 'thanks.' To which he replies, "So, are you Ben's sister?"

What in the f*ck?
Quite the creeper!
Is this a McDonald's you frequent, or know someone who works there?

I think I've eaten at mcdonalds three times in the last two or so years.

Dayum. I don't think I have paid less less 330-340 or so in the past two years (Nashville, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Greenville, Atlanta..). For me, if a flight isn't above 350, I think that I am doing good! For the fall trip I am planning now is looking to be about 390 including a Sunday flight or like 20 bucks less to leave Monday.
Also note that if you choose Southwest, they DO allow you change your flight with no additional fee (unless the new flight is more expensive), so if you book with them now, you can keep checking their site and switch your reservation to a lower priced flight if it goes down.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
