Can we all agree... IHOP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dennys?
No. I can't agree with IHOP being better than anything. I have not ate at Denny's much, but seems like the Grand Slam was a hearty breakfast on the road.
I will concede that IHOP is not exactly the best representation of the Team Pancakes brand, but Denny's is on a whole 'nother level of awful. Plus, their Wikipedia page has an entire section dedicated to their many racial discrimination lawsuits... so there's that.

Fair enough. IHOP > Denny's. If I ever find myself at an IHOP I can't help but think of how good those pancakes could be if homemade the correct way or served at a fine establishment like Magnolia Cafe, Kerby Lane, or Cafe Brazil. If I order blueberry pancakes I want them inside the batter not dumped on top.

I actually prefer Denny's to IHOP, although I don't often find myself at either one. We used to go to Denny's fairly regularly but then they hired some weird staff and we quit going.
i don't really like breakfast that much. local places are always better than the chains. the last chain breakfast place i went to was with my 87 year old grandmother.

That's absolutely fair. There are actually an abundance of mom and pop breakfast places around here, so I can't imagine myself being in a chain one anytime soon unless maybe if I was traveling.

So tonight is my final jazz recital. It's a pretty big bummer cause I doubt I'll be playing much jazz (or even saxophone at all really) in the future now that I'm graduating. But it's also pretty exciting, I finally get to show off the past 4 years of work to all my friends and family.
Have to agree with the Waffle House>IHOP>Denny's. However, if you're in Austin, TX, nothing beats Kerby Lane!!!
On another note, why is it that TX usually doesn't get any "jammy" love? Trey Anistasio Band and Ratdog come nowhere near for their 2014 tours. Makes me one sad panda

I wish decaf coffee didn't suck. I've been trying to cut back on caffeine and it's fine except I really miss just having a good cup of coffee while reading in the morning.

Have you tried half-caf? It's not as good as regular coffee but not quite as bad as decaf.

This is the route that my mom has gone - half real coffee and half decaf. Seems to work for her. I personally have gone with - no/seldom brewing coffee in my own apt. That cut down my consumption 3 or 4 fold - at this point slamming coffees feels like a jerk reaction to being on a set

I'd urge you to continue on if you'd consider it a bummer. I played trumpet and trombone for about four years in elementary school and got pretty decent at it (at least for a school kid). But then it got to the point around age 12-13 where I thought, "trumpet and trombone? Laaaaame." And now every time I listen to Radiohead's National Anthem or whenever MMJ brings out the horn section, I can't help but think how much I wish I'd kept it up.

Oh I'm sure I'll still play on my own a bit. It's just going to be tough to get together my own jazz bandmates without being surrounded by other music students and what not. Unless of course I choose to continue pursuing music in grad school.

Yeah that was my first step. Stopped brewing a pot of coffee every morning

For awhile I was wondering why I felt like a crackhead in my own house if I wasn't at work. Well after sampling many other coffees this last month (mostly shitty Queens coffee - ya I said it) - I realize I make some really strong coffee if I make it
I think I should say that there are certain people whose posts here I don't really ever read - not because of the person but because their signature harms me physically and mentally. If it's something that flashes and/or rapidly blinks and is of a somewhat large size, just FYI, I am probably not reading your posts. If it includes Drake giving me the finger, triple those odds. And I like signatures in general so I'm not turning them off. Not that anyone cares - just a random thought I had.

Get the add-on Adblock, it gets rid of all those pesky banner ads and you can manually block certain signatures you don't like.

Yup, was going to mention that some browser add-ons are amazingly helpful.

I play trombone myself. Been playing since I was 12.

nice. I knew you could turn off signatures after someone told me a while back, but I never even thought about blocking certain pics in a signature on message boards with adblock. +5hp for bacon
